• Create a drawing in in the format of a Greek temple, but with your own theme.

Objectives:

•1. learn about Classical Greek architecture because so many things in our culture today refer to this time period.

•2. Learn how to use mixed media and improve some of the skills that you already have

•3. Deepen your understanding of how themes can be used in visual art and create something new and original

Your assignment: create a monument to something.

I will be based on the basic structure of the Parthenon, but you will add

your own elements

• Each part should be based on a general theme

You may complete your design in pencil, colored pencil or watercolor

• You can shade to make the parts look like they have been carved out of stone.

• You can also collage some elements

• The building will project out from a background board, will can also be painted.
