BARCELONA Monthly tickets slightly decrease (-1,8 % up to september 2009). Weekly tickets low increase. No changes in the purposes of the trip have been observed. Metro has declined (-3,5 %), but city buses increase (2,1%). There is a relative loss of weight of working days.
BIRMINGHAM There has been no overall recent decrease in public transport use, but there has been a slow decline in bus use. Small reduction in general traffic.
MADRID a) In 2008, urban buses decreased 6.5%, Metro 0.3%, Surburban railways 1.9% and interurban buses 2.0%. In 2009, rail modes decrease -7 %, and interurban buses -9,5 %.
b) All tickets, except single tickets, have decreased in the same proportion.
