Flickr (www.flickr.com) is an online social sharing network that allows photos and videos to be

shared with friends, family, and any others on the social networking site.

Beginning Steps

• Must first set up account: go to http://www.flickr.com - go to ͞create your account͟ link

• You will need to create a Yahoo Account to use flickr

• You will probably want to take the tour.

• Set up your account on flickr

• What you see when you get into flickr/

I have included the basic steps to create and upload pictures to a flickr account. As you explore the site, you

may create sets of photos, create groups of sets, search flickr to include as your ͞favorites͟ on flickr, and

invite others to share your photos.

How can I use Flickr in my media center or classroom

• You can search and create your own sets of photos centered around a topic. Only those that you allow to view your photos can see these sets.

• There are also safety settings on Flickr called ͞safe searches .͟ This allows you to control what turns up on your Flickr searchs. So/no more random Google image searches for projects.
