WHAT WE DO
8
9
OUR ADVANCED SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY
A. THE MEGAWIDE INDUSTRIAL COMPLEXLocated in Taytay, Rizal, the Megawide Industrial Complex spans an area of 200,000 square meters. The complex is currently comprised of two Precast factory buildings, a dedicated formworks assembly area, and the company’s Construction Equipment and Logistics yard.
Megawide’s highly advanced Systems and Technology transformed industry standards with its consistent delivery of exceptional quality in a fraction of traditional timeframes.
10
B. PRECASTArea : 16,600 square meters. Capacity : Capable of manufacturing more than 1 million sqm of precast elements per year
Megawide’s Precast facility is considered one of the largest and most advanced in South East Asia. It boasts of a highly advanced European System that allows:
• Achievement of higher levels of standardization and precision in construction, offering lower long-term costs and shorter construction timelines. • The strictly controlled environment ensures that the condition, craftsmanship and quality of materials meet high levels of consistency. • Faster working periods are guaranteed. Embedded connections allow easy installation upon arrival on site. • Production of elements follow client’s preferred colors and finishing
11
C. FORMWORKSMegawide employs state-of-the-art Formworks technology from Germany for Cast-In-Place construction. This type of construction creates efficient and more resilient structures, making it a preferred building technique by today’s top developers.
Formwork Systems :• Single-sided Formwork - used for standard wall heights. • Wall Formwork - used for casting walls, support walls, pillars, earth retaining walls, and other vertical type castings. • Column Formwork - allows quick assembly and erection on site. • Guided Climbing System - usually used for walls in high-rise construction. • Slab Formwork - allows concrete to be poured and suspended above the ground; supports the weight of the concrete while it sets. • Guided Climbing Screen - promotes optimum work safety especially on slabs or slab edges on high rise construction. • Automatic Climbing System - a crane-independent climbing system, operated using hydraulic drive; used for tall concrete structures.
12
D. CONCRETE BATCHING PLANTMegawide has two Batching Plant locations to ensure quick and continuous concrete supply: the Megawide Industrial Complex in Taytay, Rizal, and a flagship plant in Taguig City. The plants are compact and fully-automated, with the Taguig plant capable of producing 100 m3 of cement per hour. The plant houses its own laboratory that formulates unique design mixes.
• Capable of producing up to 12,000 PSI concrete, the plant boasts of 1% margin of inaccuracy in production when current European standards are at 3%. • The plant’s control system and transit mixers are the first of their kind in the country. The mixers are electronically controlled and can carry high volumes of up to 12 m3. • The plants are highly sustainable. Silo filters ensure the minimal release of dust into the area while advanced safety devices are in place to prevent mixture overfeeding and leaks.• In-house recycling facilities ensure 100% recovery of materials.• The plants do not contribute to noise pollution, which benefits employees and the surrounding community.
E. EQUIPMENTMegawide has established two strategic locations to deploy its fleet of construction transportation and equipment: the CELD yard in Taytay, Rizal, which includes all precast transportation equipment, and the Motorpool in Makati City. The fleet supports Megawide’s highly specialized methodologies, ensuring consistency and efficiency in construction. Megawide has at least 52 trucks ranging from 10-Wheeler trucks, Knuckle boom trucks, 6-wheeler boom trucks, tractor heads, dump trucks, and mini dump trucks.

MACTAN-CEBU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTGMR-Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation (GMCAC) reinforced the role of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport as an engine for economic growth with the immediate renovation and upgrade of the existing terminal to transform the ageing facility into a modern gateway.
The enhancements made possible the efficient accommodation of over 7 million passengers despite a design capacity of only 4.5 million passengers per annum.
GMCAC also kicked off the intensive construction of Terminal 2 last June 2015. The terminal will be brought into service by 2018, increasing the airport’s handling capacity to 12.5 million passengers per annum.
Travelers responded positively to the transformation of Terminal 1 and the improved customer service. In a survey by the Guide to Sleeping in Airports website, MCIA was voted 18th Best Airport in Asia.
In 2015, GMCAC received accolades for MCIA as • Asia Pacific Transport Deal of the Year and• Asia-Pacific PPP Deal of the Year
