Planning Permit Application (1)

• Application for Planning Permit received 29 October 2018

• S20AA Joint Notification with the EPA including Advertising in newspapers, Details of Planning Application on Council Website with links to Engage Victoria and the mail out of notices.

• Undertaken Statutory Referrals and Notices to EPA, CFA, VicRoads, Wannon Water, DELWP, Glenelg Hopkins CMA, & Powercor.

• Receipt of Submissions / Public comment which closed 30 November 2018

• Joint review of submissions resulting in this S20B Conference.

• Council have requested further information in relation to drainage and traffic management

Planning Permit Application (2)

• Before Council is to make a decision• Responses from Referral Authorities who have requested Further

Information.

– Await Report from S20B Conference

– Await Marine and Coastal Consent Outcome

– Await Cultural Heritage Management Plan Outcome

• Then application will be assessed under the Glenelg Planning Scheme including a synthesis and consideration of submissions, referrals and the report from todays conference.

• Officers make a recommendation to a Full Council Meeting for consideration, who will then make the final decision.

When is consent under the Marine and Coastal Act 2018 required?

All use or development of marine and coastal Crown land requires consent under the Marine and Coastal Act 2018.

What information is required in an application for consent?

The application form details what information must be provided. This information includes:

• the location of the proposed use/development

• detailed plans if development is proposed

• justification for the proposed use/development

• how the use/development is to be undertaken

• details of the impact the use/development will have the community’s view of the proposal.
