Zenith ZenWell™ Concentric Total Well Completion DesignIntegrating technologies for optimum dual ESP well operation
Zenith ZenWell™ Concentric dual ESP completion designSelected technologies interact around a dual ESP pumping system to deliver advanced monitoring and protection benefits
ZenWell™ completion systems focus on the bigger picture with a whole-well approach to system design, including unique technologies engineered to interact in a fully integrated completion surrounding the artificial lift system.
The ZenWell™ Concentric completion delivers all the monitoring and protection benefits of individual Zenith technologies within a specialist dual zone, dual ESP well completion.
Dual zone productionZenith dual ESP well completions enable production from multiple zone wells. The Dual Concentric option includes dedicated ESPs for upper and lower zones that isolate zone contribution to surface production facilities using concentric production strings.
A dedicated pump for each zone gives independent control of draw-down. This allows improved zone management, prevents crossflow between zones, allows improved water management and enables individual production well tests on each zone independently.
Zones can be produced either simultaneously or independently by running upper, lower, or both ESPs.
ZenWell™ technologiesA development of the Dual Concentric completion, the ZenWell™ Concentric design also includes Zenith Auto Flow Valves, the Fluid Loss Relief Valve and E-Series ESP monitoring systems to unlock significant monitoring and protection benefits.
Integration of these tools within the system provides:
• sand diversion on shutdown
• back spin elimination
• reduction of wireline runs
• comprehensive well and pump monitoring
Bespoke system designOne of Zenith’s key strengths is our ability to design bespoke completion systems based on operator well parameters and oil production objectives. Our engineering team combine industry experience with cutting-edge technology to deliver innovative systems that overcome well constraints and enhance recovery from challenging reserves.
Cost and environmental implications
Installation of the Zenith Dual Concentric system has been shown to reduce costs
associated with the drilling process by up to 50% and equally lessen the
environmental impact of well preparation by allowing installation of two ESPs on
the same well bore.

• Fluid loss valve with pump-through capability• Used for fluid loss applications and maintenance of defined fluid head in the tubing
• Prevents solids descending into pump on shutdown• Allows continued flow to surface when pump is switched off
• Connects pump discharge pressure to the transducer in the sensor
• Conduit for bypassing the ESP with logging tools and slickline operations
• For setting of blanking and logging plugs
• Connects the Y-Block to the pump discharge head
• Offsets the ESP in the wellbore to allow access below through bypass tubing
• Full ESP operational data on a simple to understand well site display
• Enables setting of standing valves or isolation sleeve
• Online emergency service to operators experiencing well production problems
• Enables simplified, safe and cost effective bypass installation
• ESP surveillance and well analysis using key parameters• New technology options include High Temperature and Ground Fault Immune systems
