Zheng He

Zheng He was born in the year 1371 and passed away in the year 1433

Zheng He was born in Kunyang, a town near Yunnan Province. He died in Guli, now know as Calicut, in India.The first picture is of

the map where he was born. The second picture is of the map where he died.

Zheng He was captured by the Ming Dynasty forces in the military as a young boy, then sent out to the remnants of the Yuan Dynasty in Yunnan. He was castrated and put into the imperial service. After that he was sent to serve for Zhu DI. While he was serving Zhu Di, his brilliance and loyalty won Zhu Di’s trust. As a result, the prince chose Zheng He to be his bodyguard while he was fighting to become Emporer. After Zhu Di took the throne and became the Yongle Emporer, he promoted Zheng He as the official eunuch official Zheng He, he was often known as The Three Treasures Eunuch.

What Zheng He was known for

He later became Chinas most famous maritime explorer. He studied navigation, ship building, geometry, astronomy, piloting, and marine science. He led seven maritime expeditions, during which he visits over thirty countries and regions, but the size is undetermined.
