In the operating room, the success of a surgery is a combination of several factors and choosing the right surgical drape is one of them. Fabric barrier and strength are key requirements for surgical drapes, yet other properties such as drapeability, puncture resistance and linting must be taken into account to protect the patient and not interfere with the surgery.

Flexible and strong for drape manufacturers

Our fabrics are suited for a variety of converting methods - heat seal, ultrasonic bonding, adhesives. These virtually lint-free fabrics deliver consistent barrier performance through manufacturing and sterilization (EtO and plasma) as well as in the operating theater.

Repellent fabrics are ideal for drapes designed for surgeries lower risk surgeries or surgeries with minimum amount of fluids. Due to its excellent barrier properties and repellency to low tension liquids and antistatic treatment SMS fabrics offer the right balance between performance and cost.
