Eid and the true servantsof Allah

    By: Maulana Ilyas Patel Sahib

We have learnt the lesson of Taqwa. We have

learnt that lesson which the fasting was meant to teachus. Allah Ta'ala is watching! Yes, Allah Ta'ala isWatching! Every time there was an urge to eat or drinkwhile fasting, the voice from within was crying outAllah Ta'ala is watching! "o#ens of times daily for anentire month this reality was reaffirmed. Allah Ta'ala is

watching. $o dee%ly is it em&edded in the heart that &ythe time Ramazanul-Mubarak is over, a %erson&ecomes conscious of Allah Ta'ala to such an e tentthat he is now guided &y an inner force that %ro%els himin the direction of righteousness and turns him awayfrom sin.

    TAQWAThe fasts of Ramazanul-Mubarak were

%rescri&ed for the %ur%ose and o&(ect of attainingTaqwa. This is clearly declared in the )ur'an*al*+areem. Taqwa sim%ly is to o&ey the commands of

Allah Ta'ala and refrain from all sins. The increasedrewards for l&aadah worshi%- in Ramazanul-Mubarak and all the &lessings of this great month should &econsidered as the &onus. The o&(ect is Taqwa. f one%erforms an a&undance of $alaah, com%letes therecitation of the /oly )ur'an thirty times and engages in

many other acts of l&aadah, &ut fails to give u% sins *one has failed to achieve the o&(ect and %ur%ose of Ramazanul-Mubarak . 0ne has failed to firmly em&edthe reality of Taqwa in the heart, the Taqwa that criesout Allah s watching whenever one contem%latescommitting any transgression.

    PURDAH

1ikewise, when the laws of %urdah are violated, does the heart cry out Allah is watching 2 0r when oneintends to watch something on T3, which will mostdefinitely involve one in #ina of the eyes and ears, doesone hear the voice from within Allah is watching, as aresult of which one refrains from that sin2 The same%ertains to the $har4ee as%ects of a%%earance andclothing. /ow often have we done things to a%%easeand %lease even the enemies of Allah Ta'ala and /a#rat5a&i Akram Sallallahu-Alaihi-Wasallam -2 /ow often havewe a&andoned the dictates of Taqwa in order to earn afew co%%ers2 5ow is the time to sincerely re%ent. t isthe time to say Allah is watching and to do everythingto %lease /im. t is a time to acquire Taqwa.
