THE PV MODULES SHALL BE INSTALLED IN THE NUMBER OF PARALLEL STRINGS AND NUMBER OF SERIES PV MODULES IN EACH STRING AS DEPICTED IN FIGURE05. THE PV MODULES SHALL VERTICAL - “PORTRAIT” ORIENTATION.
WIRING SHALL BE AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 05. ALL CONTRACTOR AC & DC WIRING SHALL USE MINIMUM 10 AWG COPPER OEM WIRING AND HARNESSES,REGARDLESS OF WIRE SIZE, ARE ACCEPTABLE WHEN APPLIED TO THE OEM USE INTENDED, SUCH AS PV-MODULE TO PV-MODULE CONNECTIONS.
• PV-MODULES PRODUCE ELECTRICITY WHEN EXPOSED TO SUNLIGHT. KEEP COVERED WITH OPAQUE MATERIAL UNTIL ALL WIRING IS COMPLETED.
• TWISTED (WIRE NUT) CONNECTIONS ARE NOT PERMITTED FOR DC WIRING. USE OEM PLUG CONNECTOR HARNESS BETWEEN PV MODULES.• MAKE SOLID MECHANICAL CONNECTIONS TO ENSURE ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITY BETWEEN ALL PV MODULE ENCLOSURES AND FRAMING MEMBERS WITH
NO ELECTRICALLY ISOLATED COMPONENTS, USE #10 AWG BARE COPPER WITH SCREWED CONNECTIONS FOR BONDING JUMPERS AS NEEDED. OEM
APPROVED BONDING/GROUNDING DEVICES ARE AN ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTE WHEN INSTALLED PER OEM INSTRUCTIONS.
• DO NOT LEAVE LOOSE, UNSECURED WIRES/HARNESS BETWEEN PV-MODULES, TIE TO THE MOUNTING RAILS WITH UV RESISTANT ZIP TIES, APPROVEDWIRE CLIPS OR WIRING TROUGH IN NEAT, PROFESSIONAL MANNER.
