SITUATION ANALYSIS
Key Findings•Predominantly a dense low-rise residential area with Bandra Talaobeing the only large Public open space. •Most of the retail is local and supports the needs of the commuters and local communities.•Unbuilt area, foreground of the Station is the character defining element in the study area but is marred by a conflict between vehicular and pedestrian traffic, it also supports vending and hawking activities and adds to the chaos and commotion and detrimentally affects the legibility of the station and its precinct.•Significant tract of land belonging to Western Railway, BEST, Mumbai police and MCGM not utilized to its full potential.
