TRANSCRIPT

Locations

The locations used in this video are as

shown, a small, dingy apartment, estates

in London, skate parks and several fields.

The room isn’t the cleanest place but it

looks like some where that echoes the

main lyrics “We found love in a hopeless

place; that place being represented by the

mess and small and somewhat

uncomfortable space when the two have

lost all intimacy.

The music video has various shots from

rundown estates, small fish and chip

shops, streets and arcades.

The lighting in most of these shots are

natural and low key, most likely connoting

the tragic nature of the relationship of the

characters.

Effects

The effects as shown opposite with

the projections of miscellaneous

footage over the artist herself acts a

medium that could reflect her state

of mind or what she’s feeling.

This effect is something I want to

use in my own music video, making

it act as a visual representation of

him reliving his memories.

Shot types

The shots types that are in this

video are sometimes stock

footage like the eye and the

buildings crashing. Some of the

shots are of pills falling down

against a surface, which

connote some sort of

intoxication related to her

current state of mind.

Like most of this video with the

non-performance shots, is

handheld, making it as if the

viewer is also a part of some of

the experiences. I think that for

our song in some of the

moments where the lyrics talk

about the him and his ex-partner

handheld would be a good way

to film the intimate moments

rather than static shots.

Props & Costume

The props included in this video

are things like cigarettes, things

one would find in an apartment.

The costume follows a grunge-y

trend with the acid washed denim

skirts and jackets, graphic t-shirts,

oversized jumpers.

The costumes is quite typical of a

few individuals in areas like

London, with the grunge style

suiting somewhere like the

rundown estate in parts of London.

The costume is an essential way

of branding the artist, as seen in

her digipak, so that is something

that I am going to think about.
