he world said it wont be possible. Agencies like the WHO also cast asper-sion on India’s ability to vaccinate its people. Even people in India claimed that adminis-

trating over 1 billion doses will not be possible and would take years. But as they say, where there is a will, there is a way. Headed by a strong willed leader in Prime Min-ister Narendra Modi, the Union gov-ernment showed immense faith and trust in ‘Swadeshi’ vaccines and supported them to the hilt, even when foreign health agencies and many nations did not give this achievement a ‘warm welcome’.

And 278 days after vaccination was started, the nation has wit-nessed its billionth jab and experts believe that by the end of 2021, all of the adult population would have been vaccinated. Starting from Jan-

uary 16, the vaccination process took some time to gain

momentum but

when the pace picked up, the num-ber crunch happened almost too quickly.

In fact, during the course of the 278 days, on average, 3.6 million doses have been administered daily with the real pace coming in the month of August when on 27 Au-gust, for the first time India crossed the 1 crore doses mark followed yet again on August 31 and then a third time on September 6.

But a gargantuan number of jabs were administered on PM Narendra Modi’s birthday when a whopping 2.26 crore doses were given in a sin-gle day! t is said that tough situations make tough leaders and for any politician the more they witness turmoil in their public life, the more is their ability to take difficult decisions and see them through. While there may be several leaders in India, none can come close to the te-nacity and fervour that is dis-played in the politics of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s—‘New Sardar Patel’—Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Be it the Triple Talaq Bill or Abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, Shah has led from the front in both the Houses of Parliament to get the Bills passed. In fact, a major part of Shah’s ‘fighting spirit’ can be attributed to PM Naren-dra Modi’s guidance and Shah’s never ending will to excel.

His association with Modi started when he was in his teens. It was during one RSS Shakha in 1982 when the 17-year-old Shah, then a mem-ber of the BJP’s student wing ABVP came in contact with 14

year elder Narendra Modi and from there on began a partner-ship that has known no bounds for over 4 decades.

With each passing year their fondness for each other increased and Modi groomed Shah, further enhancing his political prowess and under-standing of the ‘game’.

In fact, such has been Shah’s attention to political details that he has been Modi’s right hand man since the time Modi entered the electoral politics.

But the real ‘making of Amit Shah’ started when he left Gujarat amid a great adver-sity as the UPA govt banned his entry in Gujarat. During that time he stayed in Gujarat Bha-wan’s Room no 1. But he did not waste the time in dismay rather engrossed himself in ‘Purusharth’, a concept dear to his mentor Narendra Modi. Turning adversity into oppor-tunity is forte of Modi and that is emulated by Shah too.

While UPA thought it was punishing Shah by keeping him away from Gujarat but the tenacious Amit Shah was silently digging UPA’s grave in Uttar Pradesh as he toured every nook and corner of UP and it was these years spent in UP that finally helped him win a whopping 72 seats in the 2014 General Elections that

broke Congress’ backbone! Amit Shah is a consummate

politician, and he looks like one, but he loves cricket and has a good knowledge of the game. He loves to visit temples and religious places, as he is a man of faith. He believes that to understand a person and a place you have to understand the religion and culture of that place which is why he vis-its temples, attends weddings and gatherings! He has a ‘peo-ple connect’ which is why he has been able to make BJP the largest party, of 11 crore party workers, in the world.

Shah believes Party should not prepare for election rath-er it should always be pre-pared for elections that is, be in WAR MODE!

On the day he turns 57, First India wishes the ‘Shah of Politics’ many happy re-turns of the day with the be-lief that the Herculean task of ‘re-integration’ of India that he is undertaking will be suc-cessful!

Happy Birthday Mr Home Minister!

His association with Modi started when he was in his teens. It was during a RSS Shakha in 1982 when the 17-year-old Shah, then a member of the BJP’s student wing ABVP came in contact with 14 year elder Narendra Modi and from there on began a partnership that has known no bounds for over 4 decades.

HC to take up Aryan’s bail plea on Oct 26, Shah Rukh meets son in jail

Diwali gift: Govt hikes DA by 3% for central employees, pensioners

Farmers have right to protest but can’t block roads indefinitely: SC

New Delhi: The Union Cabinet on Thursday ap-proved a hike of 3 per cent in dearness allow-ance (DA) for central gov-ernment employees and dearness relief (DR) for pensioners over the ex-isting rate of 28 per cent of the basic pay/pension. The decision was taken in the meeting of the Un-ion Cabinet, chaired by PM Narendra Modi.

Briefing reporters, Union I&B Minister

Anurag Singh Thakur said decision will bene-fit 47.14 lakh central government employees and 68.62 lakh pension-ers. This increase is in accordance with the ac-cepted formula, which is based on the recom-mendations of 7th Cen-tral Pay Commission. Combined impact on exchequer on account of both DA & Dearness Relief would be Rs 9,488.70 cr per annum.

New Delhi: The Su-preme Court on Thurs-day said that while farm-ers do have a right to protest, they cannot block roads indefinitely.

The apex court grant-ed three weeks’ time to farmer unions — lead-ing the nearly year-long agitation along the bor-ders of Delhi and else-where against the three central farm laws — to file their response on a petition seeking removal of the protesters from the roads.

The court posted the matter for further hear-

ing on December 7.Court was hearing a

petition filed by a resi-dent of Noida, urging that the protesters be re-moved from the roads around the national capi-tal region. Earlier as well, taking grim view of the

continuing blockade of highways connecting the national capital to neigh-bouring states by farm-ers protesting against the farm laws, the apex court had said that the roads cannot be blocked per-petually. More on P6

Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Thursday said it would hear on Oc-tober 26 the bail applica-tion of Aryan Khan, who was arrested after a seizure of drugs on a cruise ship off the Mum-bai coast following a raid by NCB.

Khan approached the High Court after a spe-cial NDPS court rejected his bail plea on Wednes-day. Meanwhile, actor

Shah Rukh Khan reached the Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai to meet his son Aryan. The

actor reached the prison at around 9 am and met his son for about 10 minutes.

NCB raids Ananya’s house in drug caseA team of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) conducted a raid at Bollywood actress Ananya Panday’s house on Thursday in the drugs-on-cruise case. It is learnt that the raids were conducted after Ananya’s name appeared in the WhatsApp chats of Aryan Khan. Later, Ananya also visited NCB office for questioning. Some phones, laptops and other electronic devices were seized from Ananya’s residence.

Singhu lynching victim faces ‘desecration’ FIRGurgaon: The Hary-ana police have regis-tered an FIR against Lakhbir Singh, who was lynched and strung up to a barricade and his hand chopped off at the Singhu border last week, for alleged dese-cration of the Sikh holy book. Singh has been booked under section 295-A (deliberate and malicious acts, intend-ed to outrage religious feelings of any class).

Monitoring of PSKS campaign should be done daily by the District Collector, instructs GehlotNaresh Sharma

Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has said that with the aim of giv-ing relief to the poor by giving them pattas of houses, the state govern-ment has started the Pra-shasan Shehro Ke Sang (PSKS) and Prashasan gaon Ke Sang (PGKS) campaigns from October 2. He said that the pur-pose of organizing the camps is to solve the problems on the spot as far as possible.

“In such a situation,

the officers of various departments involved in the campaign should work with sensitivity and promptness to make it a

success. District Collec-tors and the officers of the local bodies should do adequate monitoring of the campaign and take

the progress report of the disposal of the applica-tions received every day,” Gehlot said while review-ing the progress of the PSKS campaign so far through video confer-ence from the Chief Min-ister’s residence on Thursday. He said that under PSKS, camps should be organized at the ward level in the ur-ban areas so that more and more people can take advantage of them.

Gehlot inquired from the collectors of different districts about the pro-

gress made in their dis-tricts and asked about the difficulties being faced in distribution of leases.

“During the campaign, the problems being faced in the distribution of leases and the applica-tion approval of Indira Gandhi Urban Credit Card Scheme should be solved,” he said and di-rected to issue appropri-ate guidelines to all the bodies and authorities by holding a meeting at the Chief Secretary level re-garding the problems.

JABSFEAT ACHIEVED100cr

New Delhi: India achieved a major mile-stone in its vaccination programme against COVID-19 as the cumu-lative vaccine doses ad-ministered in the coun-try surpassed the 100-crore mark on Thursday. In a tweet, Mandaviya congratu-lated the country on achieving the feat, and said it was the result of the able leadership of Prime Minister Modi, whom he described as a visionary.

WHO Director-Gen-eral Dr Tedros Adha-nom Ghebreyesus con-gratulated Modi, scien-tists, health workers and citizens of India for equitable vaccine dis-tribution.

A series of events were held to mark the milestone including launch of a song by singer Kailash Kher and an audio-visual film at the Red Fort, while the largest khadi tricolour in the country, weighing around 1,400 kg, was displayed at the iconic Red Fort on Thursday.

COVID BOOSTER SHOT MAY BE IN A YEAR: POONAWALLA

The Supreme Court bench comprising of Justice DY Chandrachud had in May this year asked the Centre to review vaccine poli-cy and even went on to demand every paper and signature related to the policy. Centre then in June changed the policy and took up the task to supply vaccines to states. The Supreme Court intervention not only ended the vaccine shortage but also smoothen the entire process of supply chain for future.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the landmark reached in little over nine months time since the countrywide vaccination drive was launched on January 16 as a triumph of Indian science, enterprise and collective spirit of 130 crore. Modi also visited the vaccination centre at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital after the achievement and interacted with hospital staff.

Serum Institute of India’s chief Adar Poonawalla said the country may explore the possibility of giving booster doses, especially for the elderly in a year. “Yes, India may look at a booster shot, but ethically and humanely, our outlook will be to vaccinate the world, especially Africa with both doses of the vaccine first,” Poonawalla said.

INDIA V/S WORLD IN VACCINATION

Braving harsh weather, knee-deep water to sometimes walking for hours in remote areas, thousands of health workers, especially ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) would make people aware and con-vince them to get vac-cinated against corona. While the landmark of one billion doses is achieved, there is a lot more to be done on ground to make whole population secure.

It took India just 281 days to administer 100 crore Covid vaccine doses. The pace at which the vaccinations were administered is unparalleled as it took India 32 years and 20 years to hit the 100-crore milestone for TB and polio immuni-sations, respectively. India is at number two when it comes to the number of doses given. It is followed by the United States, Brazil, Japan, Indonesia, Tur-key, Mexico, Germany, France, Russia, UK. In-dia has administered 5 times more doses than Japan and nine times more than Germany.

CM’S GIFT FOR RAJ EMPLOYEESJaipur: On the ocassion of Diwali, CM Ashok Gehlot has announced a ‘double gift’ to state employees in form of 3% increase in DA and ad-hoc bonus. CM has announced increment in line with similar move made by Centre as 3% increase in rate of allowances and dearness relief payable to pensioners has been approved. Now from July 1, 2021, 31% DA & pension of state staff & pensioners will be payable.

Poonia slams Cong for not cancelling REET, praises PM for jab milestoneFirst India Bureau

Jhunjhunu: BJP state president Satish Poon-ia, who was in Jhunj-hunu on Thursday, con-gratulated the Central govt for achieving 100 crore vaccination in the country and took a jibe at the state government for not cancelling the REET-2021.

“The government is doing the work of push-ing the state to the abyss,” he said.

BJP district presi-

dent Pawan Mawandia and other office bearers welcomed him at the Circuit House.

On not setting up pat-

wari recruitment cen-tres in 12 districts, in-cluding Jhunjhunu, Poonia said this shows failure of the state govt.

‘Congress didn’t promote vaccines’Jaipur: BJP national spokesperson and Jaipur Rural MP Ra-jyavardhan Rathore on Thursday alleged that the Congress gov-ernment has not pro-moted coronavirus vaccination in the state and has instead politicised the inocu-lation drive. He claimed that there was discrimination in the vaccination campaign in the state due to which people had to wait in long lines to get their jabs.

“Congress workers used the government machinery in their fa-

vour due to which the public had to wait in long lines for vaccina-

tion,” he told report-ers. He said there was a war-like situation during the pandemic and even at that time the Congress did not do any work in the in-terest of the people and made allegations against the central government.

He said the figures of vaccination were low initially because leaders of the opposi-tion parties did not promote the vaccines which was very sad.

Inflation has become global issue: KailashRajiv Gaur

Jodhpur: BJP Nation-al General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya during his visit to Jodhpur said no coun-try can control infla-tion. It has now be-come a global issue. I have full hope that the government will con-trol inflation.

On the statement of Congress leader Nawab Ali favouring Aryan Khan, he said that some foreign forces are misleading the youth of the country. Action should be taken against whoever is guilty in such cases. If we sup-port such people, it will harm society.

On the statement given by Congress about giving 40% reser-vation to women in UP, Vijayvargiya said that in the whole country, BJP has given maxi-mum opportunities to women. When Priyan-ka Gandhi was asked whether this formula would be adopted in other states too, she didn’t have any answer. Hence, Priyanka Gan-dhi’s statement should not be taken seriously.

BAGHEL & RATHORE SHOULD APOLOGISE, SAYS CONGRESS First India Bureau

Jaipur: Congress lead-er and former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot during a public hearing at his residence on Thursday strongly criticised BJP leaders for using “cheap and below-standard” language for Congress leaders and called it in-decent and deplorable.

Pilot said that the statements made by Un-ion Minister of State SP Singh Baghel against the Congress leaders are indecent. He said that in politics ideological dif-ferences are acceptable but use of such words sends a negative mes-sage among the people.

Pilot said that the BJP leaders are using such language as they fear defeat in bypolls.

Health minister Dr-Raghu Sharma targeted Baghel saying his state-ment is below dignity. “Criticism is common

in politics but use of lan-guage should be digni-fied,” he said.

PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra tweeted, “In clean politics, re-stricted language should be used for criticism but

the Central govt seems to have forgotten this.”

Transport Minister Pratap Singh Khachari-yawas and CM Ashok Gehlot’s OSD Lokesh also criticised BJP lead-ers for their language.

CRUCIAL READ Delhi Police, not farmers, have placed barricades at Ghazipur border: BKUNew Delhi: After the Supreme Court on Thursday observed that farmers can’t block roads indefinitely, the Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) said it was not protesters but police who have placed barri-cades at Ghazipur bor-der on NH 9.

Led by BKU leader Rakesh Tikait, a group of farmers protested against the police and said they are ready to make way for the public. In the afternoon they removed a tent, trac-tors, and other closures from their side of NH-9.

Following the Repub-lic Day violence, the Delhi Police had stepped up security at all three farmer protest site – at Ghazipur, there are more than 12 layers of temporary barricades

with concertina wires and cement slabs on the highway while the lane that connects Ghazi-abad’s Khora to Delhi has also been heavily barricaded.

Farmers said apart

from the public, they too are affected by the bar-ricading as they are forced to take a longer route to go to Delhi to get basic amenities like vegetables and milk.

Meanwhile, Delhi Po-lice said the barricad-ing was done only to stop farmers from en-tering Delhi. DCP (East) Priyanka Kashyap said, “We have created diver-sions on National High-way 9 for both public and protesters. All bar-ricades can’t be re-moved. Capt to Cong: Stop secularism talkNew Delhi: Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, on brink of an alliance with the BJP and break-away Akali groups, on Thursday, ripped into Congress, his party of more than 40 years. The Congress, he said, is no one to talk of secular-ism, pointing to the alli-ance with Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, and in-duction of multiple leaders from the BJP and its mentor Rashtri-ya Swayamsevak Sangh, including the current state Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu.

Most of his outburst was directed at Harish Rawat—the Congress in-charge of Punjab, who called Singh’s an-nouncement of Tuesday shocking and said it ap-peared that he had “killed the secular Ama-rinder within him”.

Reminding Congress of his poll winning streak since 2017, Singh claimed he was “humili-ated” by party and said it damaged its own inter-ests in state by putting itself in the hands of “an unstable person like Sid-hu who is only loyal to himself”. —Agencies

ndia completed vaccination of 100 crore doses on 21st October 2021, in just about 9 months since starting vac-cination. This has been a tremendous journey in dealing with Covid-19, espe-cially when we recall how things stood in early 2020. Humanity was dealing with such a pandemic after 100 years and no-one knew much about the virus. We remember how unpredicta-ble the situation appeared then, as we were faced by an unknown and invisible en-emy mutating rapidly.

The journey from anxiety to assurance has happened and our nation has emerged stronger, thanks to the world’s largest vaccination drive.

It has been a truly bhagi-rath effort involving multi-

ple sections of society. To get a sense of the scale, assume that each vaccination took just 2 minutes for a health-care worker. At this rate, it took around 41 lakh man days or approximately 11 thousand man years of ef-fort to reach this landmark.

For any effort to attain and sustain speed and scale, trust of all stakeholders is crucial. One of the reasons for the success of the cam-

paign was the trust that peo-ple developed in the vaccine and the process followed, despite various efforts to create mistrust and panic.

There are some among us who only trust foreign brands, even for simply eve-ryday necessities. However, when it came to something as crucial as the Covid-19 vaccine, the people of India unanimously trusted ‘Made in India’ vaccines. This is a significant paradigm shift.

India’s vaccine drive is an example of what India can achieve if the citizens and the government come to-gether with a common goal in the spirit of Jan Bhagidari. When India started its vaccination pro-gram, there were many peo-ple who doubted the capa-bilities of 130 crore Indians. Some said India would take 3-4 years. Some others said people will not come for-ward to get vaccinated. There were those who said there will be gross misman-agement and chaos in the vaccination process. Some even said that India will not be able to manage supply chains. But just like the Jan-ta Curfew and subsequent lockdowns, the people of In-dia showed how spectacular the results can be, if they are made trusted partners.

When everyone takes ownership, nothing is im-possible. Our healthcare workers traversed hills and crossed rivers across diffi-cult geographies to vacci-nate people. Our youth, so-cial workers, healthcare workers, social and reli-gious leaders, all deserve credit for the fact that India faces minimal vaccine hesi-tancy when compared to even developed nations.

There was a lot of pressure from differ-

ent interest groups to give preferen-tial treatment

to them in v a c c i n a -tion. But the

Government ensured that,

like our other schemes, there is

no VIP culture in the vacci-nation drive either.

In early 2020, when Cov-id-19 was rampaging across the world, it was clear to us that this pandemic will have to be eventually fought with the help of vaccines. We started preparing early. We constituted expert groups and started preparing a road-map right from April 2020.

Till today, only a handful of countries have developed their own vaccines. More than 180 countries are de-pendent on an extremely limited pool of producers and dozens of nations are still waiting for the supply of vaccines, even as India has crossed 100 crore doses! Imagine the situation if In-dia did not have its own vac-cine. How would have India secured enough vaccines for such a large population and how many years would that have taken? It is here that credit should be given to In-dian scientists and entre-preneurs for rising to the occasion. It is due to their talent and hard-work that India is truly Aatmanirbhar when it comes to vaccines. Our vaccine manufacturers, by scaling up to meet the de-mands of such a large popu-lation, have shown that they are second to none.

In a nation where govern-ments used to be known as a roadblock impeding forward movement, our government has instead been an accel-erator and enabler of pro-gress. The government part-nered with the vaccine mak-ers right from day one and gave them support in the

form of institutional assis-tance, scientific research, funding, as well as acceler-ated regulatory processes. All ministries of the govern-ment came together to fa-cilitate the vaccine makers and remove any bottlenecks as a result of our ‘whole of Government’ approach.

In a country of the scale of India, it is not enough to just produce. Focus has to be on last mile delivery and seam-less logistics. To understand the challenges involved, im-agine the journey taken by one vial of vaccines. From a plant in Pune or Hyderabad, the vial is sent to a hub in any of the states, from where it is transported to the dis-trict hub. From there, it reaches a vaccination centre. This entails the deployment of thousands of trips taken by flights and trains. During this entire journey, the tem-perature has to be main-tained in a particular range which is centrally monitored. For this, over 1 lakh cold-chain equipment were uti-lized. States were given ad-vance notice of the delivery schedule of the vaccines so that they could plan their drives better and vaccines reached them on the pre-de-cided days. This has been an unprecedented effort in the history of independent India.

All these efforts were com-plemented by a robust tech platform in CoWIN. It en-sured that the vaccine drive was equitable, scalable, trackable, and transparent. This ensured that there was no scope for favouritism or jumping the queue. It also ensured that a poor worker could take first dose in his village and the second dose of the same vaccine in the city where he works, after the required time interval. In addition to a real-time dashboard to boost transpar-ency, the QR-coded certifi-cates ensured verifiability. There are hardly any exam-ples of such efforts not only in India but also the world.

In my Independence Day Address in 2015, I had said that our country is moving ahead because of ‘Team In-dia’ and this ‘Team India’ is a big team of our 130 crore peo-ple. People’s participation is the biggest strength of de-mocracy. If we run the coun-try through the participation of 130 crore Indians, our country will be moving ahead 130 crore steps every mo-ment. Our vaccination drive has yet again showed the power of this ‘Team India’. India’s success in its vaccina-tion drive has also demon-strated to the whole world that ‘democracy can deliver’.

I am optimistic that the success achieved in the world’s largest vaccination drive will further spur our youth, our innovators and all levels of government to set new benchmarks of pub-lic service delivery which will be a model not only for our country, but also for the world.

Horoscope by Saurabbh Sachdeva

y first memory of my Dada Ji is of a worried middle-aged man franti-cally running from here to there asking people if

they had seen a 3-year old boy who was lost. This was around 1960/1961 when he, along with my Dadi Ji - a short-statured but large-hearted simple lady, had come to Agra where my father was posted as a clerk in the Civil Surgeon’s of-fice. I think two of my (yet single) uncles were also there as it was a large fam-ily picnic to the tomb of Aitmad-ud-Daulah, the po-litically influential father of Mumtaz Mahal.

The images of a 6-8 box tiffin in which my mother must have packed pooris, aloo (or maybe gobhi) and achar are still vivid in my mind. The next frame is from Kandhla where he was posted as the Head-master of the Government Primary School when he organised the mundane ceremony for my younger brother and me. It was a big family gathering as I can make out from the black-and-white pictures in our family album where I see not only all my uncles and aunts but even some of my parents’ cousins. Move to 1965/1966, Jharipani (near Mussoorie) where four of us and families of my masis and mamas spent the holidays in the palatial bungalow allotted to him as the Principal of the Government College. During 1968-71, I studied at the Rajghat Besant School, a residential school in Var-anasi, on a government scholarship. During the vacations, however, in-stead of going to my par-ents’ home in Dehradun I would go to Saharanpur to take personal tuitions in English from him to at least keep pace, and maybe even move ahead, of my convent-educated class-mates from rich business

families of Bihar, Bengal and north-east. My batch-mate and hostel mate at AIIMS, (Late) Rajeev Jain, called me out of the class and, with trembling hands, handed over the telegram, which he had obviously opened and read, to me. ‘He’ was being taken out of the home by my uncles (my father in Varanasi could not reach Saharanpur in time in spite of having taken a flight to Delhi) on their shoulders when I last saw ‘him’ on the 31st of July 1977.

Life moved, as if in fast forward, from 1977 to 2020. I finished my MBBS and MS from AIIMS, married, had two sons, moved to SGPGIMS in Lucknow, and our sons grew and finished their studies. Our elder one, Abhimanyu, moved to the USA and got married.

The 1st of January 2020. The best new year day in our lives - our daughter-in-law, Lavanya, gave us the best gift ever in the form of Nyra. While the Dadi rushed to the USA soon af-ter receiving the news so that she could see, touch, feel and kiss the tiny bun-dle of joy, professional commitments forced me to wait for a few months be-fore I could plan a visit to the USA; in the meantime, I had to be satisfied look-ing at her in pictures and videos only.

The 8th of March 2020. As I look at her for the first time (in person), the future starts unfolding before my eyes - will I ‘lose’ (and then quickly find) her on a fam-ily picnic, will she have her first haircut at a salon in Orlando itself or will we be organizing a big

family bash for her mun-dane in India, will she choose to spend her holi-days with her friends at a happening destination or will she come with her par-ents (and aunts and un-cles) to our government allotted house, when she joins a medical school (as they call it in USA) will she come to me during the semes-ter breaks to learn s o m e tips and

tricks in surgery, and last-ly, when it comes to that will she just send a condo-lence message with a few sad emojis on WhatsApp to her Dadi or will she be able to make it there to place a log of wood on ‘me’.

I wonder whether I will remain just a grandfather

for her or will I be able to become,

just as he was for me, her

Dada Ji.

After launching the action-packed trailer of the highly-anticipated hostage drama, ‘Sanak – Hope Under Siege’,

‘O Yaara Dil Lagana’ is going to be a visual treat for all the music buffs, es-pecially the one who likes listening to 90’s songs, as it’s a reprised version of the original song from the movie ‘Agni-sakshi’ (1996) featuring Jackie Shroff, Manisha Koirala and Nana Patekar.

The new version of ‘O Yaara Dil La-gana’ from ‘Sanak’ has been shot at the cool backdrop of a club featuring Vid-yut and Rukmini as they beautifully express their love for each other. While the original song was composed by the legendary musical duo Nadeem-Shra-van, the new version has been created by Chirantan Bhatt.
