Shop local and visit the Gingerbread Wonderland Craft Show!
Open weekends December 2 + 3 and December 9 + 10
Featuring handmade and one-of-a-kind creations, our Gingerbread Wonderland Craft Show is a great place
to pick up holiday gifts and support area makers.
A recipe for Basic Gingerbread can be found on our website.
When you are thinking about your Gingerbread Wonderland entry, please consider creating an entry with a “Green” theme. Here at The Frelinghuysen Arboretum we focus on plants and the natural world, so Green themes are very important to us.
Entries that reflect a Green theme will be awarded a special Green Ribbon
in addition to the Participation Ribbon that all entries receive.
What is a Green theme? It begins with your intent. Does your exhibit tell a story that is about plants, the environment, or the natural world?
If your Gingerbread House features solar panels or a rain garden – that’s Green. If your entry has backyard songbirds – that’s Green. If you have created a camping, biking, or hiking entry – that’s Green.
Please don’t forget to tell us that your entry is Green in the space on your Entry Form that says “Theme.” You must say that your intent is to create a Green-themed entry and we must see this fulfilled in your exhibit.
