Sshhh! Take binoculars and go wildlifewatching, whatever the weather – there re-ally is something to see all year round. In summer, watch the aerial antics of hobbies as theyhunt dragonflies, look for bats skimming the lake surfacefor flies at dusk, and seek out the magical carpet of wild-flowers in the ancient water meadows. On hot sunny days, walk through clouds of blue damselflies near the lakeedges, and keep an eye out for nesting grebes.Ducks love it here in the winter too, with 20,000 waterbirds feeding and breeding on many of the larger lakes. It’s a great place to come in the colder months, with vast skies and superb sunsets.
Who manages the Cotswold Water Park?
and relax...No problem – most of the accommodation in the Water Park is situated right next to crystalclear water. Choose from charming wooden chalets, New England style lodges, a family holidaypark or four star hotel luxury, all within a couple of miles of the activities. Whether you go forself catering, full board or B&B, each of these places has its own unique character, offering var-ious facilities such as indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, indoor play areas, l uxury spas, beauty treatments, and fine dining. In the local area discover country pubs with character, serving local beers and home cooked dishes, plus some great lakeside cafes and bistros.
