An anesthesia technician is responsible for the administration and monitoring of anesthesia to a patient. During the administration of anesthesia, anesthesia technician is constantly monitoring t he vital signs of the patient and collects and analyses patient’s blood samples.Anesthesia technicians are mainly employed by anesthetic departments in hospitals or operating theatre suites. They are also employed in other areas in health care such as emergency departments, intensive care units and day surgery clinics.
