Pastor’s CornerYes, we are “Trusting God in These Difficult Times.” Thank you
all for dialing-in to our Sunday morning teleworship services.
With the teleconference dial-in more of our members (and
others) are able to participate in this worship experience. I
praise God for being able to connect with you this way. It is a
delight for me to hear the greetings prior to the start of
worship. It is just like being at 2403 Oakwood Road. On April
28, 2020, Governor Kay Ivey issued the “Safer at Home” order
which will remain in effect until May 15, 2020. Prior to May 15,
2020, a determination will be made whether to extend this
Order. We will continue to teleworship until further notice.
As we continue to practice “Physical distancing” during this
ever evolving COVID-19 pandemic, let’s continue to stay
connected. Remember to reach out to church members, family members, neighbors, and friends by
calling, texting, or emailing them. A simple phone call can make someone’s day and put a smile on
their face.
During the past few weeks, the Madkins Chapel Church Session have been reaching out to the
members. If you have not received a call, it could be that your contact information needs to be
updated. Please call the church office to update your information.
I extend a heartfelt “thank you” to those working on the Frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic and
the those that are Essential workers. While most of us are staying in, they are working and providing
those services that we need daily. From those taking care of patients in the hospitals and nursing
homes to those that are working in grocery stores, collecting our garbage, delivery our mail, working
at the banks, and the numerous essential jobs that we take for granted, WE THANK YOU! May God
continue to bless you and keep you in His care. Please join me in thanking the following Madkins
Chapel Church Family members that are on the Frontlines of this pandemic or are essential workers.
We realize that there may be more Madkins members that are essential workers during this time and
we thank you, too.
“Take a moment to thank the following who are going all out while we’re all in.”
Stay Safe and Stay Healthy!
