Animal Research Project

At-Home Research For this project, students are asked to neatly complete the research form on an animal of their choosing. A sample is attached as an example. Don’t choose the animal in the sample! (monkey) 1. Go to https://kids.sandiegozoo.org/ 2. Choose one animal to research from any category 3. NEATLY fill out the “Animal Research Project” sheet

a. Suggestion: write your work on a sloppy copy first. Then write it on your report sheet

b. For drawings, please do your best to illustrate your animal. You may trace a picture if you would like!

i. Think of Jane Goodall’s sketches! Do your best to be a researcher. (No stick figures)

c. Color all illustrations. d. Write in FULL sentences e. **** If you do not have a printer, you can create your own template using blank

paper. As long as the needed information is there, you do not have to worry about format!

4. Video Report

a. Dress up as a Safari Guide (do your best with what you have! It is 100% not expected to buy anything for this!!)

b. Report on the animal you chose c. In your report including the following information:

i. Name of the animal ii. Where it lives

iii. What it eats iv. Who is the animal’s predator? v. 3 Interesting Facts
