Fishing Laws 16 years of age and older are required to

have a fishing license If a tagged fish is caught and is wanted to

be kept it must be reported When field dressing the fish it is unlawful to

dispose of the remains in the water or on public land

Conservation Nursery waters are closed to fishing at all

times PA has a number of fish hatcheries PA then stocks the waters with the fish There are special fishing seasons which

helps to limit the number of fish taken from the water each year

Habitat Protection There are 50+ dam removal projects on

trout waters 350 habitat enhancement projects

Habitat Enhancement Projects Adopt-a-Stream Make people aware of conserving waters of

our state. This gets the people involved in cleaning up

our waters.
