    Crosby, Christina. Writers Block, Merit, and The Market: Working in the Universityof Excellence. College English, Vol. 65, NO. 6 (Jul, 2003) pp.625-645.In the article Writers Block, Merit, and The Market: Working in the University of Excellence

    Christina Crosby, argues that writing is a marketable business which inevitably leads to the disas-trous and debilitating effects of writers block. She quotes form author Keith Hjortshjo Because

    writing is the main form of currency in higher education and largely determines ones success orfailure, severe difficulties with writing are probably most common in universities. Her purpose for

    adding this is to show the amount of pressure added to college students. Its more of a challenge

    for students to overcome writers block because all the writing they have to complete is for a grade

    which ultimately determines the rest of their future.

    In her article Resolving Writers Block Patricia Huston, discusses the different instigators for

    writers block. She begins by explaining that no one is immune to its never ending frustration, butdoes give not only ample examples of how writers block has effect others, but how she herself has

    been plagued by writers block. According to Huston writers block stems from the disagreement be-tween the right and left side of the brain. The right side is abundant in creativity and always eager

    when its time to put pen to paper. However, the less enthusiastic left side is to concerned with an-

    ticipating all the obstacles that come with writing papers. Thankfully there are a couple solutions toget around this problem. For example, Huston suggests: cultivating patience, analyze tasks, sched-

    ule breaks, and to asses writing conditions. These tips may vary because of the varies degrees of

    writers block.

    comparison with business networks. Vol. 22. Manchester. 2007. 154-160 Print.In the article Writers Block: Failures of the neurological networks Malcolm Cunningham, ex-plains the writers block is an experience where the loss of creativity where writing does not stop,

    but the spark of originality is no longer achieved. He explains the the writers mind doesnt neces-sarily shut down, but the creative sparks which makes words flow clearly and easily across a page

    slowly diminishes. The isnt only disheartening to the writers, but becomes almost and illness that

    can plague a writers career forever.

He explains it all about the approach. if a person is lacking confidence and is experienc-

    ing added pressure for teachers and professors then they are considered blockers. However, non-

    In her book Writing. 10 Days to Overcome Writers Block. Period. Karen Peterson, strives to

    shed light on the lurking mystery of writers block. She not only gives examples of how it affects

    others writers, but also so into great depth on her own struggles with writers block. She also touch-es on the subject of right vs. left brain and how these two neurological pathways are in a constant

    feud with each other because the task they want to complete are so different.

    explains the relationship between writing and the brian. These two things are interlocked in a battle

    that resembles a love hate relationship. She goes on further telling that a key reinforcement to over-

    coming writers block is exercising a persons creativity.

    Creative block is also related to increased activity in the frontal lobe. When balance is obtained

    creative output is optimized.

    Anne Johnstone, argues in her article The Writers Hell: Approaches to Writers Block stemsfrom the pressure of having to strive to be perfect. Perfectionism can plague anyones conscience

    and make the creative world a frustrating place. Procratination and fear also open door for more

    writers block.

    In her book Kathy Kleidermacher explains, how to overcome writers block. According to

    Kleidermacher writers block can be rooted in many different areas. For example, lack ofconfidence, lack of motivation, lack of energy, procrastination, depression, and anxiety.

    paralyzing confusion washes over a person and which slowly begins to make to mind freezeblocking and sort of creative idea. He quotes that the to overcome writers block is to lower yourstandards.
