Thank you to Watson Pharma for an informative dinner program, which featured Ann Compton and was held on World Kidney Day (March 13). We had a great turnout for the Winter Audio Conference at FMC Mid-Sussex, Georgetown, DE, and at Good Samaritan and Bon Secours Hospitals in Baltimore. For more information or to con- tact an officer, visit our Web site at www.baltimoreanna.com. Suggest- ions and volunteers are welcome. The rest of the day touched on topics such as: nephro- genic systemic fibrosis and MRIs: a new concern for kidney patients; Fabry disease; current infection con- trol topics; communication to and with patients; fluid management: dis- pelling the myths; early diagnosis and treatment of chronic kidney dis- ease (CKD) stages 3 and 4: role of the internist; and buttonhole techniques.
