COME FOR SUPPERFirst Lutheran will help with Come for Supper on Tuesday, July 22, at Our Savior’s in La Crosse. First Lutheran will help with donations and with serving and clean-up. Sign-up sheets are on the Connecting Point table. Call Gloria Kubiak if you have questions, 498-2762.

Little LEAPsLittle LEAPs will meet only once in July and once in August. The group — for children from birth to 3 years old and their parents/guardians — will meet this month at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday, July 27, at Rowe Park in Onalaska for a “clean up and play” service project. And mark your calendar for August — Little LEAPs will meet at 9:15 a.m. Aug. 31 in room 102 for an end-of-year celebration. We welcome newcomers all the time — join us! If you are interested in becoming a volunteer who helps with the children during adult time, contact Carla Stanton, [email protected].

TONI GROSHEK IN CONCERTWorship song leader Toni Groshek of La Crosse will perform songs from her debut album, “Red Light — Green Light,” at a CD release concert at 7 pm Sunday, July 27, at Olivet Lutheran Church on French Island. The concert is free; CDs will be available for purchase for $10. The digital album is available online at Amazon, iTunes, Spotify and CD Baby.

SUGAR CREEK GOLF TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISERMonday, July 28, Drugan’s Castle Mound. First Lutheran will form a team for this fundraiser. Contact Pastor Stanton with questions & to RSVP: [email protected].

HEAVENLY HARP CONCERTThe mother/daughter duo known as Heavenly Harp will perform at 7 pm Tuesday, July 29, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Mormon Coulee Road in La Crosse. Also, Karin Gunderson, author of “Encounters With Heaven,” will share stories of God’s presence. Free; donations accepted; CDs and DVDs available.

NEWSLETTER ASSEMBLYIt’s a relaxing way to volunteer! Gather on Wednesday, July 30, at 10 am, to assemble the August newsletter. See you there!

BAPTISMAL PREPARATIONA baptism preparation session will be Saturday, Aug. 2, at 10 am in the narthex for anyone who is considering or has scheduled a baptism. RSVP to the church office and contact the office with any questions: [email protected] / 608.738.8354.

vacation bible school!This summer, VBS is Sunday, August 3, through Thursday, August 7, from 5-8 pm each day. VBS is for kids age 3 (and potty-trained) through those entering 6th grade in the fall. Register online at: 2.firstlu.org/vbs.

9th Grade Girls RetreatWednesday, Aug. 13, 7:30 pm. Location: The House. Girls who will be entering high school in the fall are invited to a night of pampering. We will enjoy a movie, have late-night pizza, and have our questions answered by girls already in high school. There will be devotion and breakfast in the morning. Pick up time is 9:30 am. JOIN THE TEAM FOR THE COLOR RUN!Run with team “Light Up the World” on Saturday, Sept. 13! To join First’s team, go to the website and register! This run is being promoted by First’s Drawing from the Well group and is part of the group’s Sept. 13th gathering.
