January 31, 2020 through March 6, 2020.

• VPK Classes will run from June 5 – July 30 • June Summer Programs will run from June 5 – 25 • July Summer Programs will run from July 6 – 30 • Those that are not able to commit to the full summer calendar may still apply in

a substitute role. Only those individuals that DO NOT want to be considered for a full-time summer position should apply in the substitute vacancies.

• Instructional and paraprofessional applicants will complete a two-part application. Both applications must be completed to be considered for summer employment.

Summer Programs Summer Programs 2020

Thank you for your interest in summer employment with Volusia County Schools. To be considered for summer employment, teachers must meet the following criteria:

• Current VCS certified teacher • Re-appointed for the 2020-2021 school year • Florida Teaching Certificate is current or has been renewed if expiring on June 30, 2020 • Teachers hired on a temporary basis are NOT eligible to participate

When applying for summer employment, please keep in mind that all teachers must be certified in the subject area they are selected to teach.

The chart below indicates the required subject area certifications to be considered for summer employment outlined by each program. If multiple certifications are listed, please note only one of the certifications is necessary. Some programs have additional requirements. In the event a program has bolded certifications listed, teachers will need at least one non-bolded certification and all of the bolded certifications to be considered for employment.
