2. On 24th

July 2012 II and III year students accompanied with the faculty members of

department of Botany visited to the Karunai Illam, Palani.

The various tree saplings and medicinal plants were contributed and planted on that

day. Medicinal plants and their importance were explained to orphanage students by

using lively specimens

Gandhi Study Circle :

1. Gandhi Jeyanthi and Gandhii‟s is Maitar‟s Day October 2nd

and Jan 30th

celebrated

our students were in Bajan and speech given on principles Gandhiji by students of

APA College for Women, Palani.

2. Hardworks, a creative activity based on Relainace Principle, all students

practiced pandal in the lunch time 1.15 to 1.45pm daily. Students participate in that

teach other students creative such as art basket making, phone mat, drawing and

potposting.

3. Gandhian Though Examination and Vivekanada Academy of cultural studies

Examination conducted on students in Gandhi Study Circle and 62 students in

Vivekananda examination.

Birth day anniversary of Swami Vivekananda Celebration conducted

26.07.2012 Swami Sankarantha Manantha Maharaj Spoke about (10am to 11am)

Swami Viekanantha to young youth of our college, 1st year UG students

participated. Displayed wordings documentaory film of Swami Vivekanada on the

same day through video display with visual impact 11am to 1.45pm.

benefited.

RRC Volunteers orientation and training program on “celebrating life” was

conducted by the RRC district manger, Mr.V.Muthiya, Govt. Hospital, Palani, on

5. Examinations reforms implemented :

The internal and external assessment of the students for each paper. Subject wise is

done systematically at regular intervals. The tests office of the controller of Examinations

conducted common Internal Tests and External Examinations.

Common internal tests are conducted to assess the teaching and learning

programme. The main objective of conducting Common Internal Test is to maintain and to

promote learning culture among the students. The maximum marks assigned for internal

assessment is 25 and maximum marks assigned for external examination is 75 and

distribution of internal assessment is, for test 15 marks, seminar -5 marks and assignment 5

marks.

Choice Based Credit System is followed, to allow flexibility and opportunity to

select the courses according to their choice. It provides students to score maximum credit

point and transferring credit points. College facilitate vertical & horizontal mobility by

offering non-major elective and extra –credit courses.
