    — Charles H. Townes Mr. Townes won the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1964. He was a Fulbright Scholar in France and Japan in 1955-1956 and in Europe in 1972.

    University of Minnesota Professor Emeritus Leonid Hurwicz was a recipient of the 2007 Nobel Prize in Economics. He was a Fulbright Visiting Professor at Bangalore University in India in 1965.
