2019 Annual Report

Dear Friends,

My favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 3:20. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly more than we could ask or imagine. That verse certainly describes 2019 for BMI. God opened numerous doors for ministry that we never could have opened ourselves. I spoke in Nigeria, Thailand, Canada, England, Bulgaria, and Romania. I ministered to many groups of wonderful Christian leaders, including the state executives of the Southern Baptist Convention and leaders at sate-wide convention meetings in Nevada, Mississippi, and the Northwest. I spoke to numerous gatherings of Christian CEOs and marketplace leaders across Canada in Toronto, Winnipeg, and Vancouver. I also taught at Louisiana Baptist College and Dallas Baptist University. God has graciously granted BMI a platform from which to share truth and challenge Christian leaders to seek �rst God’s kingdom.

God also blessed The Collision ministry to young adults and my weekly leadership pod-cast. Our team has been blessed to partner with ministries across the country and to speak at various conference sites, including The Cove and the Word of Life centers in New York and Florida. It was a busy and fruitful year!

For a time, it appeared that our �nances would not keep up with our ministry’s torrid pace. But God moved among our faithful friends and donors to give generously, and we were able to end the year in a strong �nancial position. We praise the Lord for that provi-sion!

The world is hungering for solid biblical, ethical leadership. And God is granting us opportunities to teach it. A secular university in Romania paid my way to lecture on leadership for their city. As we entered 2020, the need for such leadership only increased. Thank you for your prayers and �nancial support. We feel the burden of doing all we can to make a positive di�erence in our world today. God is opening doors. Thank you for supporting us as we enter them!

BMI Ministry TeamHenry T. Blackaby is the founder and president emeritus of BMI. Although he is now officially retired, Dr. Blackaby continues to provide consultative leader-ship in the life of the Christian community. Henry has published an array of spiritually influential messages in his lifetime, most notably Experiencing God.

Dr. Richard Blackaby is the president of BMI and lives in Atlanta, Georgia. Richard travels internationally speaking on spiritual leadership, spiritual awakening, Experiencing God, and the Christian life. Richard regularly ministers to Christian CEOs, pastors, and family leaders.

Rick Fisher serves as Vice President. He leads the daily work of the ministry and is available to speak to churches, associations and corporations in the areas of spiritual leadership, revival and awakening, prayer, and on other ministry-related topics.

Sam Camp is the Director of Media for Blackaby Ministries International. He holds a two-year Bible degree, a BBA, and an MBA. He enjoys traveling, making films, and photography. He lives near Atlanta with his wife, Carrie, and daugh-ter, Claire.

Carrie Blackaby Camp is the Content Manager for Blackaby Ministries Interna-tional. She holds a BA in English, an MFA in Nonfiction Writing, and a Master of Theological Studies degree. She enjoys reading and traveling. She lives near Atlanta with her husband and daughter.

Carrie Webb is the daughter of Henry and Marilynn Blackaby. She is married to Wendell and has two children, Elizabeth and Joshua. They served as career mission-aries in Germany for 17 years. Carrie has co-authored several books, including Experiencing God Around the Kitchen Table with her mother.Bob Payne is the Director of Experienc-ing God Weekends for Blackaby Minis-tries International. He has served under the personal mentorship and teaching of Dr. Henry Blackaby for twenty years.He has led Experiencing God classes all over the world.

Daniel Blackaby is Henry Blackaby's grandson and the author/co-author of nine books for young adults. Daniel holds a Ph.D in “Christianity and the Arts” and a Th.M in “Philosophy, Apologetics & Worldview” from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Steve Parsons serves as the Manager of IT and Online Training for BMI. He is in charge of computer technologies, develop-ing online courses, and teaching. Steve and his wife, Jana, live in Cochrane, Alberta, Canada, with their daughter, Kseniya.

Bob Royall serves as Director of Coach-ing for BMI, providing overall guidance for all aspects of BMI coaching. He has invested his life in coaching and mentoring Christian leaders as a collegiate minister, seminary professor, professional coach, and pastor.

Online Classes

In 2019, Blackaby Ministries launched its new online class ministry. Significant work went into choosing the best software and developing the curriculum. In August, the inaugural 12-week Experiencing God class commenced and included participants from 17 states, three Canadian provinces, Romania, Germany, and Zimbabwe. A highlight of the class was the first ever Blackaby Ministries livestream event featuring three generations of Blackaby ministers—Dr. Henry Blackaby, Dr. Richard Blackaby, and Dr. Daniel Blackaby. Experienc-ing God co-author Claude King also participated in the online discussion forum.

Blackaby Ministries started The Collision, headed by Dr. Daniel Blackaby, as an exciting new NextGen initiative. The website thecollision.org went live in March and is a platform for weekly articles and resources aimed at helping Christians engage with today’s culture and find answers to difficult questions and objections about God. In September, The Collision YouTube channel launched. The Collision experienced steady growth throughout the year and entered 2020 with great momentum and potential for expansion.
