Dear Supporters & Friends,LookingLooking back over the past year, I clearly see both the faithfulness

of the Lord and the beauty of community. Despite obstacles and

set-backs, and plenty of hard days, I am continually overwhelmed

by the ways our community and Jesus have shown up for us. Build-

ing relationships can be messy work, and I hope you all know that

we are far from perfect. But I’m also learning that faithfulness looks

like step-after-step in the right direction, slow and steady and

loving, loving, even in the face of hurt or loss. My neighbors have taught

me that with astounding bravery and grace. And faithfulness to our

place is where we feel like Blueprint 58 is called to be, and where

we will continue.

We are so grateful to each and every one of you for loving our

Blueprint 58 family and neighborhood well, for joining with us in the

hard and beautiful work of building community and transformative

relationships in southwest Atlanta.

Our goal at Blueprint 58 is to create a flourishing community that re-

flects the promise and challenge that God sets forth in Isaiah 58.

We want to love our neighbors well, and move forward together

with them towards a holistic thriving that reflects God’s best for

each and every one of us. We believe the best way to achieve this

goal is one relationship at a time.

We hope that these pages will remind you of the Lord’s faithfulness,

and point you towards the gifts of community and grace that God

has placed in each of our lives. Consider this your invitation to join

us here in Atlanta. Whether that is with your time, your talents, your

gifts, or your prayers, we are grateful for the ways that we are being

knit together in laboring for a world tuned more carefully to justice

and hope.

We are grateful for you, We are grateful for you,

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

OurOur program matches fourth grade stu-dents in our neighborhood with Christian mentors. Here at Blueprint58, we take on a different definition of mentoring; we believe that both our students and men-tors have much to learn from each other. Mentoring for Blueprint58 is about sparking mutually transformational rela-tionships in the hopes that our mentors and students learn and grow together. Our mission is to empower youth to grow into community leaders through mutual-ly transformational relationships.

ACHIEVEMENTS

"A success that I have witnessed this year for mentoring

was with my own mentee. I often tell mentors that work-

ing with students takes time. And building relationships

take time. When I started mentoring, I had this vision of

what it would be like only to find that she did not want

to share all of her difficulties or even all of her successes

with me in the beginning. Why would she? She didn't

knowknow me that well. This year marks 4 years being

matched and has been a turning point in our relation-

ship. She has trusted me with helping her to make goals

for her school year, helping with math, her struggles in

school. The success story is that building relationships

matters. If we hadn't put in the time to get to know

each other, I wouldn't be the one she turns to to help

with her struggles. She may not confide in me all the

time with everything that she is going through, but be-

cause I have shown up for the past 4 years, she knew

that she could come to me this time. I think it is so im-

portant to have someone that you know will always be

there for you and I am honored to be that person for

someone else." -Madi

"Being in this program has been truly inspir-

ing. It has allowed me to grow personally at

a point in my life where it seems like you do

everything for yourself. I am learning the

value of service above self, and I am helping

develop relationships in my community that

wil l create a stronger Atlanta tomorrow. I’m

alsoalso adding on a new family member, as my

family members have taken a liking to my

mentee and they even ask me to invite him

along on family outings, such as to the corn

maze and such. It’s amazing how receptive

people are to try new things and attempt

new relationships if you show an effort and a

passionpassion for people. This program has

changed my life for good!"-Patrick
