As part of the dental education development in Indonesia, the Faculty of Dentistry, Trisakti University once again holds the 10th SCIENTIFIC FORUM (FORIL X) in October 6th - 8th 2011. For many years, this Forum has taken a strong role as quality control mechanism to ensure sustainability and continu -ous improvement of Indonesian dental education.

For the upcoming 10th SCIENTIFIC FORUM (FORIL X), our theme is as follow:

Professionalism includes moral ethics and effective communi-cation in dental education system to answer the challenges and needs in getting a well-balanced and responsible dental health education and services to the society.

FORIL X is here to set strong dentistry fundamentals for our region.

Our theme is in line with the Mutual Recognition Agreement that has already been put into place in regards with the global-ization of dentistry educational system. Our regional economic development post AFTA (Asean Free Trade Area) and ACFTA (Asean-China Free Trade Agreement) has brought an indirect progress to our learning process via faster and smarter knowl-edge transfer. Thus, having higher quality dental care education and service system for our society is expected.

In order to fulfill the objective of the Forum, we gathered promi-nent person in national and international dentistry as our key-note speakers and sectional speakers to share their knowledge, thoughts, skill, and information related to their dentistry-related core competences. The Forum will also put general health sci-ence, management, communication, and other field of study on top of the core technicalities of dentistry as an integrated part of the Forum’s learning module.

As part of FORIL X, we also establish Dental Expo that assem-bles both local and international exhibitor to show us the latest technological advancement in dentistry.

FORIL X is held in Balai Kartini building in the main street of Gatot Subroto. The location is in the heart of Jakarta and has easy access from the surrounding prominent 4 and 5 stars hotel. This convenient center is an adequate location for the Forum with dedicated room for Seminar and Expo with total area of approximately 4,000 m2. With all this facility, we expect you get the most out of this event with convenience.

With the spirit of unity in dental science, we wish you a valuable and rewarding event in FORIL X and a pleasant stay with us in Jakarta.

Best regards,
