News & Notes

Mid-week Worship/Prayer Service - Join us on Wednesday for the final mid-week service of the summer.

Great Start Readiness Program - We have partnered with the GSRP, a state-funded preschool program for four year olds. Children must be 4 on or before September 1st to be eligible. GSRP is a four day week program, Monday-Thursday. Our normal preschool/childcare will blend together on Fridays for those who need Friday care. Participation is based on income. To apply or enroll in GSRP visit geneseepreschool.org. Fill out the Preschool Interest form. Add St. Paul Lutheran School in the School District Section for program preferences at your #1 preference. GSRP will evaluate and approve participation. This is a first come-first serve program. Please call our office with any questions, 810-239-6733.

Welcome!

Thank you for being with us. Whether this is your first time with us or you come here on a regular basis, it is our sincere desire that your faith in Jesus Christ will be strengthened and encouraged.

We invite you and your family to join us for our various Sunday Morning and mid-week Bible Studies. If you would like to speak with Pastor please indicate that on the Friendship Register.

As We Gather

In today’s Epistle reading, the apostle Paul reminds us of the reality of the old evil foe. Satan is constantly trying to trick people into believing he is not real. After all, if people think he does not exist, then they aren’t prepared for his attacks. Satan and his threats are real, but God does not leave us defenseless. We are to “take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm” (Ephesians 6:13). When Paul calls us to put on the full armor of God, the pieces of armor are all given in the one garment we put on in Holy Baptism. Clothed in Christ and His strength, we are able to stand against Satan, confident that even though he is a real threat, we need not fear!
