“Play Me, I’m Yours” Street Piano Project“Play Me, I’m Yours” Street Piano Project is an interactive public art project to be presented by Omaha Creative Institute from August 24–September 8. First actualized by British artist Luke Jerram in 2008, “Play Me, I’m Yours” has occurred in 35 cities around the world and now it is happening in Omaha!

Centered on a mission of empowering, strengthening, and inspiring community residents through the arts, ten pianos will be placed in public locations throughout Omaha and Council Bluffs. Passersby will have full access to the pianos, which will be personalized and decorated by area artists or the local community. Kids from a Joslyn summer art camp will transform one of the pianos, its location to be announced. And, on Thursday, September 5 at 7 pm, Joslyn will hold a crazy fun, public sing-along! Presented as a creative “Spark” during Omaha Creative Week, join local pianists and A People’s Choir to sing your heart out! Stay tuned for piano
