JULY 9-20 SCOTLAND MISSION TRIP 10 team members will be conducting a VBS and a Gospel Meeting for the Cumbernauld congregation. JULY 11-18 BELIZE MISSION TRIP - YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY Additional support is needed for team members. JULY 12-17 YOUTH MINISTRY CHURCH CAMP It’s a special week together away from technology and typical distractions for our 6th-12th Graders. JULY 13-16 LIFT/CONNECT 3 Co-sponsored with the Inner City Church, there will be a VBS, a reading enhancement period, lunch and singing each day. Ron serves as a facilitator for a “Coping with Cancer” program at Clearview Cancer Institute. This will be a special night for our cancer patients and care givers.

LIfT/CONNeCT 3Senior High students interested in applying for an internship with this years local Inner City LIFT/Connect 3 VBS program, can obtain an application from Dianna Gill in the Youth Office. Dates for LIFT will be July 13-16.

We also need Elementary Reading Teachers to help in our LIFT/Connect3 Program. It’s a one hour (Noon - 1:00pm) commitment. Childcare and materials are provided. Please call Debbie Lightfoot at 256-655-8494.

ITemS NeeDeD fOr BaJaWe need new kitchen or hand towels for our annual trip to Baja, if you can donate, containers will be in the Lobby this week.

COffee WeLCOme STaTIONThe Six40 Adult Bible class would like to invite you to stop by a Welcome Station at one of the desks in the Lobby 30 minutes prior to our 9:00 am worship on Sundays. We will have free coffee and bottled water. We hope this will provide a great place to meet and greet guests, as well as other members of our Mayfair family.

Summer Intern - We are blessed to have Carey Holton this summer as our intern. So plug in, get connected with the ministry he is working with or have him over for supper. He likes food.

“Genuine” is this summer’s theme. In a world where it’s easier to be fake than a real authentic follower of Christ, we will share our Wednesday nights gathering to praise the Lord and discuss what it looks like to be who we’re called to be. We will have our gatherings on Wednesdays through July 29 at 7:00 pm in The Attic. CHILDHaveN - July 1-6 - Located in Cullman, AL, Childhaven serves as a refuge for young people from troubled backgrounds. They provide them with foster care, vocational/educational training, life-skills, and a connection to Christ. We will go and serve/sweat/work together. We would love for some additional parents to join us! Make plans to arrive at Mayfair at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, July 1 for registration, place luggage & supplies on the Penske truck. Bring work gloves, old clothes and shoes, dust mask, 2 paintbrushes & a metal scraper. Parents, please contact Sonia Pruett [email protected] to sign up to provide food for the teens. We plan to return on monday, July 6 at noon.

mym CHurCH CamP - July 12-17 - God has done something special with this event. 2015 will be our 5th Annual Church Camp. This is the one event, we beg the teens to choose. There is no substitute, connection-wise, with a week together, away from technology and the other typical distractions. Camp is nestled in the hills of Lynchburg, Tennessee. More than any other event or program we do, teens respond to time together at Camp. We encourage all 6th - 12th Graders to make plans to be a part of this great week. Applications available in the Youth Area.

For ages 0-12 (parents can read to their children and count those books too). It’s not too late to pick up information and participate in this wonderful summer program!

mayfaIr mOmS - Mayfair Moms is a ministry for the young mothers of the Mayfair Church and is a great way to get to know other women in our church family. Mayfair Moms main focus is to provide a way for moms to find and organize play dates with other moms in the church. meN’S CONfereNCe WITH STeve farrarauGuST 6-7Cross Point Church of Christ in Florence is hosting His Man on His Mission, a special men’s conference with best-selling author Steve Farrar. In his classic book “Point Man: How a Man Can Lead His Family”, Steve seeks to equip men to embrace biblical masculinity and become the spiritual leaders of their families. The conference will take place at the Cross Point church building (1350 Cox Creek Parkway, Florence 35633) on friday, august 7 from 6:30 - 9:30 pm and Saturday, august 8 from 8:30 - 11:30 am.
