CONGRATULATIONS READING FAIR WINNERS!
The winners in the 2014 P.E.S. Reading Fair include the following students:
Makenlee Yeager Maggie Taylor
Zariyah Jackson Evan Pardue Ian Pardue
Nolan Pardue Emma Taylor
Kara Daly This competition allows students to share their
favorite book through a storyboard display. These students will advance to the regional fair
in Jackson.
Pride of Philadelphia Band The following students participated in the ECCC
Band Clinic on January 31, and February 1, 2014. They read new music and performed a
concert while in attendance. The student had to audition on their respective instruments to be
place in the various bands. Seated in the Gold Band were Tyler Greer, Cameron Higgason, Randi Kelly, Courtney Smith, and Kaishanna
Young. Seated in the Black Band were, Amechia Carter, Jamerious Clemons, Kaelin Gentry, and
Jonathan Hall. The White Band participants were, Hannah Bennett, Paige Brown, Tymese
Brown, A'keli Graham, Jeremy Huddleston, T'Kambry Jordan, Quormesha Lindsey, Jada
McCane, Alandria Moore, Shanagia Sims, Dazz Sylvester, and Kiana McBeth. Competing for the
same honors at the ECMBDA Clinic this weekend will be Hannah Bennett, Kaelin Gentry, Cameron
Higgason, Shanagia Sims, and Monserrat Zamudio. Through her participation in various band clinics, Cameron Higgason has earned
enough scholarship money to completely finance her first two years of college at East Central
Community College in Decatur, MS. Congratulations to all these students for their
hard work and musical success. Wayne M. Benn and Sidney Hamilton are the Associate Directors.
