DEACON’S CORNERSTEP CHILD
The prodigal son wanders away. As do I. His loving father waits. As does God.
My every act, word and thought is a step toward God, my Father. Or not.
Father, guide your wandering child’s steps.

First Eucharist Lost and FoundThe Offi ce of Children Faith formation has a stack of pictures, certifi cates and art work dating from 2013. If you did not pick up a picture of your child, your child’s certifi cate or your child’s art work, the likelihood that it is still in the offi ce is high. Please contact either Maria Groff Reynolds 713-403-4121 or Lana Jezierski 713-403-4122 if you think your child’s item(s) may still be in the CFF offi ce.
Children’s MassOur last Children’s Mass of the year takes place on Sunday, April 7 at 9:00 a.m. (There is no CLOW at the 9:00 a.m. Mass.) The Children’s Choir will also sing at the Children’s Mass on April 7th.
Shine (Grades 6-8) Series: Finish Line The “Finish Line” Shine series reveals to the middle school youth how the Sacraments of Healing and the Sacraments at the Service of Communion will be a part of their journey to heaven. They will learn about these sacraments and how they aid us in our daily lives. The youth will also come to an understanding that God has a specifi c course for their lives that will help them achieve holiness and, by His grace, cross the fi nish line into heaven. All youth in grades 6-8 are invited to join us at Shine, which is our middle school ministry, every Sunday night, beginning with the 5pm Mass, followed by Shine from 6-7:30 pm. For more information email [email protected] or call Matt at 713-403-4191
Awaken High School Series: Male & Female “Who am I?” While we all wrestle with this question to a certain extent, the current discussion regarding gender makes the answer to this question even more diffi cult to fi gure out. In this series, Male and Female, we discuss the human person as created in the image and likeness of God, body and soul, as male and female. We hope to offer clarity to this sensitive topic while inspiring teens to accept and live out their God-given sexual identity, which is rooted in their biological sex. Awaken is our weekly high school ministry on Sunday nights for teens in grades 9-12 from 6-730pm, following the 5pm Mass – all teens and their families are welcome and encouraged to attend Mass at 5pm with us! For more info contact [email protected] or call Matt at 713-403-4191
