NOVEMBER 11, 2012 BULLETIN RAY’S REMARKS: This past weekend was a great one. On Saturday we had a good turnout for the clothing give away. There were over 40 cards filled out, which represents families who came and took advantage of this opportunity. Hopefully, we will find a little interest from some who visited, in knowing more about God. Please keep these individuals in your prayers as we try to do some follow up and encourage them to know and follow Christ. I also want to thank all of those involved in helping to make this day a success. Brother John Perkins did a great job organizing the event, lots of volunteers showed up Saturday to help, and many spent countless hours getting everything ready. THANKS TO YOU ALL! Let me also thank our Nancy Kelly who regularly keeps the clothing room up. She does a great job and this helps us to have an acceptable place for people to come who have needs for such. One of the very fundamental commands of God would include our need to help cloth the needy. We also are commanded to help those who are in need of food, as you know we also keep a well-stocked food pantry. It is a great blessing to be a part of a congregation where so many are working and staying busy in the work of the Lord. I hope they all know how much God loves them and how much they are appreciated for accom- plishing His perfect will. Sunday morning was an enjoyable day for me as I was able to be with the brethren in Sedalia, Missouri. I had the privilege of speaking in their lectureship. It was also good to see many Christians there who have family connections with our church family, as well as some who used to attend at K.E. It’s always great to know of other faithful congregation who love God and His Word. We also had a wonderful gathering on Sunday evening. As most of you know we had our youth night. We didn’t have a lot of kids this time, but it was good to see the Carthage congregation with us. The young people had a great afternoon and really seemed to enjoy themselves. It was also wonderful to have time to fellowship together over an evening meal. Thanks to everyone who brought cookies, thanks to Brent to helped with some get acquainted games, and thanks to Brenda for organizing the dinner. Again, how blessed we are to have so many workers and helpers at K. E. Well, I hope to see you in services this coming Lord’s day. Until then, always put God first and know He will bless you. *Ray Sullins*
