• Make sure you’re on time
– 4th period – go to lunch

Multiple Choice
• 75 Questions in 60 minutes• In order to score a 4 or 5• Must get a minimum of 50 correct answers.
• #2 pencil required
SO HOW DO YOU DO IT???
Multiple Choice Rules
• Guessing– Earn 1 point for each correct answer– No longer Lose ¼ of a point for each
incorrect answer– Educated guess OR Skip the question?
• Accuracy– Accuracy over speed
• “Except” or “Not” Questions– This means that 4 out of the 5 answers are
correct.
FRQs
• 3 FRQs in 75 minutes• Goal is to get 60% of the points
available • Pen or pencil (pen is preferred)
SO HOW DO YOU DO IT???
FRQ Rules
• You do not need an intro or a thesis; most FRQ responses will be short answer.
• Straight forward answer!!!! Show what you know (define terms, people, give examples, etc).
FRQ Rules Continued…
• Do NOT leave anything blank!– Unlike multiple choice, you do not lose
points for guessing.
• Do NOT use bullet points!• Do NOT doodle on your response
sheet!• At the end, double-check your
response for any silly errors and to make sure you answered all parts of the question.
What your FRQ should look like…
• Written in any order – just make sure you number them accurately.
• Start on a new page when starting a new essay.
• Typically, essays will use about 2-3 pages each.
• Spelling is not an issue as long as the reader knows what you were trying to write.
