The City of Windsor in conjunction with Tru Land Developments has initiated a Class Environmental Assessment
Study in accordance with Phases 1 & 2 of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) process. The
purpose of the study is to establish the preferred design and alignment for the Kamloops Street Extension from
Marentette Avenue easterly through the Southwind Subdivision to the existing cul-de-sac west of Calderwood
Avenue
A Public Information Centre (P.I.C.) will take place to provide further information to the public regarding the
project and to receive input and comments. Representatives from the City of Windsor, Tru Land Developments,
and RC Spencer Associates will be present to discuss issues and concerns.
The Public Information Centre (P.I.C.) is scheduled for Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Fogolar Furlan
Windsor – Canada Hall - 1800 North Service Road from 5:00p.m. – 7:00p.m.

THE STUDYThe City of Windsor in conjunction with Tru Land Developments hascompleted a Class Environmental Assessment Study ‘Schedule B’in accordance the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA)process for the extension of Kamloops Street from Marentette Avenueeasterly through the Southwind Subdivision to the existing KamloopsStreet.
THE PURPOSEThe purpose of the study was to establish the preferred design, andcross-section for the extension of Kamloops Street from MarentetteAvenue easterly through the Southwind Subdivision to its easterly limits.
THE PROCESSThe study was completed in accordance with the planning and designprocess for ‘Schedule B’ projects of the Municipal Class EnvironmentalAssessment (October 2000, as amended in 2007, 2011, & 2015) underthe Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.
PUBLIC INPUTAs part of the EA Study, Public Meetings were held on October 5th, and24th 2016. Based on input received the Project Team has reached apreferred alternative and documented decisions in a project file.
STUDY REPORTBy this notice, the findings of the study have been placed on the public record for review in accordance with the MunicipalClass Environmental Assessment process. Subject to comments received as a result of this Notice, the City may proceed withimplementation of the recommended improvements in the study area.

If concerns regarding this project cannot be resolved in discussions with the City of Windsor, a person or party may request theMinister of the Environment and Climate Change to make an order for the project to comply with Part II of the EnvironmentalAssessment Act which addresses individual environmental assessments. Requests for a Part II Order must be received by theMinistry at the addresses below, no later than March 14, 2017. The request to the Ministry must also be copied to the City’s Managerof Transportation Planning identified below. If no request is received, the City of Windsor intends to proceed with designing theplanned improvements.
