2. Apple is an American multinational corporation that designs and sells a wide range of products including consumer electronics, computer software, and personal computers. Some examples of products produced by Apple include Macs, iPads, iPods and iPhones. Its software includes the OX and iOS operating system, the iTunes media browser, the iLife and iWork creativity and production complements. 3. In the past two decades, Apple has developed and become well known for its methods of advertising. Its most significant ad campaigns include the "1984" Super Bowl commercial, the 1990s Think Different campaign, and the "iPod people" of the 2000s. Apple has kept most of their campaigns Simple, which means messages, can be understood faster. They have greater memorability and it’s easier for someone to pass on the message. Apple’s description of the iPhone showcases this point wonderfully: “Revolutionary Phone. In almost all of Apple’s commercials and advertisement’s, a consumer is featured using the product. Current Apple ads seem to follow two strains: advertisements for their computers generally have a white background and put the emphasis on the product being advertised; ads for the iPod and iPhone line generally have bright backgrounds with silhouetted figures. Most of Apple’s current advertising seems to be on TV these days. But they also display their advertisement throughout technology such as their website and consumers.

4. Apple has adapted their products to suit the needs of different countries all around the world. They have developed their language range, so we can be

broader towards our selection of verbal communications and culture selections. We have now been informed with the new iCloud which can help with our daily

needs and makes life a little bit easier when it comes to technology. This is the cloud the way it should be: automatic and effortless. iCloud is seamlessly

integrated into your apps, so you can access your content on all your devices. And stay up to date everywhere you go. They also enable us to have access apps that may come to our advantage in many ways such as; cultural, food, exercise, sporting, music, gaming, books, social networking, educational and

many more. These applications are all in the palms of our hands and only need a tap to load, so now we can have our daily lives and needs packed into one

small device/s.

5. Apple has many positive aspects making it one of the most successful TNCs in the world.

6. Some negative aspects of Apple include:

• Investigation revealed how Apple workers in China had to work 15 hours a day for £27 a month, and were made to sleep in dormitories and do push-ups as punishment.

• Some suppliers were found dumping waste-water at a farm near the plant, using unsafe machinery and forging payroll records.

• Apple created subsidiaries in low-tax places such as Ireland, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and the British Virgin Islands to cut the taxes it pays around the world.

• 325 people assemble one iPad which takes five days to complete. • Two shifts during one day can produce 300,000 iPad camera modules. • 10,000 unibody iPad shells can be produced per hour. • One individual is responsible for cleaning up to 3,000 shells by hand. • Each working shift lasts twelve hours with works receiving two hour-long

breaks. • An average meal at the factory costs workers approximately 70 cents. • Foxconn employees live in dormitories with each room housing eight

people.
