Statement of Compliance

California I/M Test Based on Ford's engineering judgment and to the best of Ford's information and belief, all vehicles contained within this test group are expected to conform with the emission standards for which emissions data are not provided, as allowed under " California Exhaust Emission Standards and Test Procedures for 2001 and Subsequent Model PC, LDT and MDV (Adopted August 5, 99)" Part I, G.3.1.3.

Use of 1.04 NMOG/NMHC Ratio in Lieu of NMOG Testing According to 86.1810-01(p), manufacturer for gasoline fueled and diesel fueled Tier 2 and interim non-Tier 2 vehicles may measure NMHC in lieu of NMOG. Manufacturers must multiply the NMHC measurements from the gasoline vehicles by an adjustment factor of 1.04 before comparing with the NMOG standard to determine compliance with the standard. CARB adopted the EPA regulation unchanged, except vehicles referenced mean California LEVs, ULEVs and SULEVs. (California Exhaust Emission Standards and Test Procedures for 2001 and Subsequent Model Passenger Cars, Light-duty Trucks and Medium-duty Vehicles. Part 1, D-1)

91 RON (Knock Sensor) Pursuant to VPCD-97-01, our engineering evaluation states, the city and highway fuel economy test result differences between 91 RON operation and 96 RON operation is within 3%, and there are no emission increases (beyond normal test variability) using 91 RON fuel when tested on the FTP cycle

Cold CO Defeat Device Based on engineering evaluation of intermediate cold temperature CO emissions test data, the applicable test group complies with cold testing defeat devices requirements as described in 40 CFR86.094-16.
