THANK YOU to everyone who participated and prayed for the Transfiguration Clean Up day! We had 32 helpers, and our Hispanic Community represented almost half of the very hard working and dedicated individuals, who deep cleaned everywhere: the Hall, the classrooms, Father's Office, the Kitchen, and the church grounds, thoroughly and completely. It was a spiritual moment for our Church and the results were Heavenly!! Thank you all for your hard work and Prayers Mark Hopkins RCIA: This Sunday we enter into Holy Week, that leads us into the celebration of Easter, the Resurrection of Jesus. Easter, in many ways is a "New Beginning" in the life of the Church. The liturgy of Easter Vigil, which takes place on the evening of Holy Saturday is sometimes called the "Mother of all Liturgies." That's when the Church is resurrected, or "born again", and the life of the Church starts anew. New Catholics will be received into the Church by receiving Easter Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and First Eucharist. Those who have been baptized in other Christian Traditions enter into the full Communion with the Church by making their "Profession of Faith", and then receive Confirmation and First Eucharist. Those who have never been baptized any any Christian Tradition will receive Baptism, and then also Confirmation and First Eucharist. Please welcome, and pray for the following new members who have received the Sacraments of Initiation: Please pray for the following candidates who will be receiving the following Sacraments at the Easter Vigil Mass. *James Jones, Eucharist, Confirmation *Patsy Baker, Eucharist, Confirmation *Mollie Cavenaugh, Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation *Alondra Lizeth Santiago Mejia, Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation * Diana Santiago Mejia, Baptism, Eucharist *Rocío Santiago Mejia, Baptism, Eucharist

An Easter message from Bishop Luis Rafael Zarama: Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, I write to wish each of you a Blessed Easter filled with the peace and joy of our Risen Lord! Today we are united with the universal Church in celebrating the victory of Jesus Christ over sin and death. How blessed are we to know that in Christ, the power of darkness has vanished; suffering has been turned into glory; and death into life. Just like the first disciples of the Risen Lord, we are called to go forth and to be His witnesses. We are living in a time that is contrary to Love; we must work hard and work together, striving to spread the Love of the Risen Lord to every corner of the world. Let us work with our neighbors and our community to show that there is no power greater than the power of God's love. Please join me in praying for all those to be baptized and confirmed in our Catholic faith this Easter and know of my continued prayers for you and your family. May the Risen Lord abundantly bless you on Easter and always with the peace only He can give. In Christ,

Luis Rafael Zarama, J.C.L.

Masses at Transfiguration are Sat, Sun, Mon, Thu, Fri. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is a wonderful way to remember our loved ones and pray for special intentions. If you wish to have a Mass offered for a specific intention, the following process should be followed. 1. Contact Geri Cullen either by phone or email to arrange for the Mass. Geri will give you available dates and get your request on the calendar. 2. Mass cards are provided for you to send to the individual or family of the individual for whom the Mass is being offered. 3. The usual offering for a Mass intention is $10.00. Offerings may be cash or check made out to Transfiguration of Jesus Catholic Church. You may give your offering to Geri and she will see that it gets in the collection and labeled Mass Intentions. Alternately you may place your offering directly in the collection basket. If you place in the collection basket be sure to label Mass Intentions and indicate that Mass is on the calendar. This information will be helpful to the counters, so they know the Mass has been scheduled and further follow up is not necessary. 4. Each week the Mass Intentions are in the bulletin stating the individual for whom the Mass is being offered and who requested it. 5. Father announces the intention of the Mass and it is also included in Prayer of the Faithful To schedule a Mass intention, or if any questions contact Geri Cullen either by phone or email.
