World Day Of Prayer for Vocations
In 1963 Pope Paul VI designated Good
Shepherd Sunday as World Day of Prayer for
Vocations. As we celebrate on this Sunday,
we pray for fidelity to our vocation. The
Church invites us to honor the vocation of all
Christians given at baptism. May we who
have dedicated our lives to God through the
vocation of marriage, priesthood, diaconate,
consecrated life and the single life remain
faithful to our commitments. May those who
are discerning their life vocation listen to the
grace of God to guide them.
ST. FRANCIS GUILD
Monday, April 19, 6:30 PM in

Annual DDF Appeal
The Annual Diocesan Development Fund
appeal will begin May 1-2. This effort is
conducted in every parish of the diocese to
help finance the activities and programs of
the Catholic Church in southern Missouri.
Our goal is $167,438. We ask you to keep
the DDF campaign in your prayer.
MOVING FORWARD
IN FAITH AND COMMUNITY
I wish to thank all of the parishioners who
pledged to the Capital Campaign this past
weekend. Our total amount pledged to date
is: $1,636,336.
I am asking each family to make a sacrifi-
cial pledge for the future of SEAS and your
fellow parishioners. I would like to see every
family make a minimum commitment of at
least $1 a day for the next three years (the
cost of a coke or a cup of coffee). If you can-
not pledge this amount, please give as you
are able. Thanks to all of your for being part
of this vibrant parish.
—-Father Tom

Stephen Ministry
There is a book called The Wonderful
Crisis of Middle Age. Middle age
indeed is full of change, crisis and growth.
We must deal with aging parents, adult chil-
dren and our own mortality. If you are going
through this “crisis” and need a sympathetic
trained listener, a Stephen Minister would
like to be there for you. Call Mary Shaw at
732-9980 or Rosemary Finney at 883-1190.

QUESTION
OF THE WEEK
John 21:1-19
Key Passage: “When
they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to
Simon Peter: „Simon, son of John, do you
love me more than these?‟ He said to him,
„Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.‟ Je-
sus said to him, „Feed my sheep.‟”
Question: In what ways are you answering
Jesus‟ command to Peter to “feed my
sheep?”
Children: What do you do to take care of
others as Jesus asked Peter to do?
SEAS DISASTER RELIEF MINISTRY The 3rd book of the Torah (Old Testament):
Lv.19:18 calls upon each of us to “love thy
neighbor as thyself.” The Jewish tradition calls
upon the faithful to observe the three gemilut
hasadim (acts of kindness): feeding the hungry,
clothing those in need and providing shelter for
the homeless. Our own Spiritual and Corporal
Works of Mercy call upon us to do the same. Fol-
low God‟s direction regarding the care of those in
need by becoming part of the Disaster Relief
Ministry. Watch for the date of the informational
meeting. Call Sharon Giboney @ at 880-1002 for
more information.
TIME & TALENT OPPORTUNITY
We are still in need of help cleaning the
Church on Fridays. If you are able to help,
please call Sharon Gillham at 581-8414.

In today’s Gospel, Jesus tells Peter again and
again, “If you love Me, feed my sheep.” He says the same to each of us. “If you love Me, use the
gifts I have given you to serve your brothers and sisters”
