  • Menswear blazers, oxfords, menswear prints, basic white shirts, fedoras, fitted vests and pantsuits is one of the biggest trends this season. Theres something about menswear tailoring whether its a trim suit or rolled work sleeves that crafts a strong silhouette.

Pulling off the borrowed-from-the-boys trend doesnt mean sacrificing your femi-ninity. The fashion world has evolved in the current season it so that it allows women to keep their curves and femi-nine flair, while tapping into mens unfussy clothes. The entire look oozes cool, but its sexy too, because the look suggests that there is indeed a boyfriend or a husband in the wearers life, and that you have 24-hour access to his closet, a look of effort-less. Built for longevity, its the wear ability of this style that gives it broad appeal.

So how do you pull off this look? Fit is number one. The point of the trend is to help accentuate your body, not hide

it. Dont go for anything too loose or too baggy; you want a defined waist and a perfect hem on the pants. Get pieces tailored if necessary. Avoid pieces that create boxy silhou-ettes. Remember, just because its menswear doesnt mean you have to dress like a man.

Even if its a boyfriend blazer, darts should fall along your bust line appropriately and shoulder seams should align with your own. The goal is to create a smart feminine look with a fantastic fit. Wear a tra-ditional white button-down. This classic shirt is a must-have for women looking to incorporate menswear into their personal style. Easy to outfit, the button-down offers a crisp, tailored look with just a touch of masculine energy.

Try layering with a vest. There are ranges of vests to try; from tuxedo to suspenders, vests can be easily worn over casual tees or button-down blouses for a neat, pulled-together look. The blazer is an essen-tial for this look; it can be mas-culine and feminine all at the same time. Give a softer touch to the menswear look; mix it with sheer fabrics and lace.

Accessorize with menswear-inspired pieces. Throw a

necktie over a simple col-lared T-shirt or underneath a sweater vest. Need other great menswear accessories? A fe-dora completes an outfit with a punch of structure. Step out in menswear-inspired foot-wear. Loafers, oxfords, shoe-boots and patent pumps are refined options and provide a range of outfitting ensembles.

To successfully pull off mens-wear, add it to your style; dont interpret it literally. Add girly accents like lace and sheer fabrics to soften up the look. Another great way to soften up menswear is color.

A fabulous hue like cobalt blue or a deep pink in your accessories or accent pieces really pop and make a state-ment. If the trend is too se-vere for you all at once, just toss a little bit into the equa-tion. Rock a newsboy cap with a casual outfit or wear some Oxfords with some trousers and a feminine blouse. Heels always make a great addi-tion to menswear pieces and elongate your silhouette.

Take these key tips and throw in a little bit of your flare to create an ensemble that ev-eryone envies. Read on to see some of the looks we have found in the catalog!

  • The saying goes that you can never go wrong with basic black, but any fashionista worth their salt will tell you otherwise. While the use of neutral colors such as white, beige and gray are practical in nearly every type of outfit, they can make a wardrobe seem a bit flat and boring if used too generously. A quick dash of color can serve as a much-needed remedy, but rather than use an accessory, you can really make a statement by starting at your foundation --- with shoes, of course! Using shoes with simple colors and patterns is an easy way to add a shot of zest into an otherwise ho-hum outfit palette. Well show you some basic dos and donts of wearing an accent shoe, using some of the hottest heels as examples!

  • Red Bow Pumps

The beautiful thing about this stunning shade of red is that it effortlessly draws the eyes at-

tention. To keep this bold color center stage, wear these cute pumps with an outfit that uses the clean colors of white, black, and gray. Be sure none of the monochromes overpower another too strongly; go

for a look that is combines at least two of the colors in appealing proportions. If you would like to jazz

up your outfit a bit more, a bit of black-and-white zebra print would do the job nicely.

  • Barbie Pink Pumps

What girl doesnt know about this shade of hot pink? Iconic and eye-popping, there should be little

to no difficulty in drawing the gaze of another to your shoes, but how do you keep these pumps front and

center? Dark colors like black help this hot pink pop out like neon; it almost has the same effect as black with

a sultry red does. Implementing shades of grey and silvery off-white in addition to the black could also be fashionable. Brown works surprisingly well with

these heels as well. Theres really not a lot you could do to wear these pumps incorrectly.

Stay away from crme and beige; for some strange reason, the colors

    dont connect all

    TREND | FASHION

  • Ruffle Sandal

These festive-looking sandals are a super-cute shade of blue. It might be tempting to

throw on black or white and call it a day, but take advantage of the color to best coordinate an outfit. Blue is a cool color, so contrast the shoes

with a warm color in your clothes, as darker colors may blend or engulf it. Off-white or beige with a subtle yellow undertone lets the blue pop out while still allowing the

entire ensemble to glow with life.

  • TREND | FASHION

  • Military Ankle Boot

The color green is a very versatile match for any neutral and is often used to create an earthy look. Match these dark green boots with an outfit consisting of lighter shades of brown or an off-white; beige or cream would be your best com-pliment. Because this shade of green is rather dark, avoid dressing in darker tones or black,

as the colors will blend and understate the boots presence. By contrasting light and dark tones, you will bet-

    ter attract the eye.

  • Suede Pumps

These bold blue pumps come with a bit of something extra: an equally ap-

pealing bit of red on its soles. The bold use of these primary colors is best accentuated

with the missing third musketeer: yellow, or in the case of neutrals, anything that could be perceived as such. This includes tan and off-

white. Avoid clothes of a single color; it is better to find something that has a splash

of red or blue in order to tie the shoes in with the outfit.

    Peach Lace

A solid black would be an easy way to put the focus on the soft colors of these

heels, but why not help give them the per-sonality they deserve? A tan, beige, off-white or similar light colors will look great with the

warmth of peach. Implementing this color theme will help you pull off a soft and femi-nine look that compliments the lace details. Dark colors can be used if you please, but

only in moderation or as an accent for the lighter clothing choices.

    TREND | FASHION

  • Beige Wedge

The combination of a light beige and white accents will go well with black clothing and

outfits that have darker shades of gray. Because they are already present in the shoes, lighter

neutrals like white, tan and beige will only blend with the shoe color, thus destroying the purpose of using these wedges as an accent shoe. If you

do not want to use black, medium to dark shades of brown will suffice as an alterna-

tive option. Feel free to wear a dash of color or patterns to add more life to

    your outfit.

  • RYB Pumps

A popular fashion motif, the Union Jack adorns anything from tank tops to tote bags, and

now you can wear it on your shoes! The traditional white has been replaced with a nearly beige color, giv-ing the shoes a touch of neutrality. Pairing these heels with black is an effective combination. The darkness

compliments the beige and contrasts seductively with the red, helping to save the blue from being overpow-

ered. Because these shoes are a pattern in of them-selves, avoid wearing patterned clothing.

  • TREND | FASHION

  • Yellow Pumps

Because yellow is such an eye-catching color, you dont want to pick something that would compete with its intensity. A

monochrome theme would be best, but avoid the two extremes of white and black. Opt for a darker shade of gray instead; your shoes will be

reminiscent of the sunshine that peeks through a rain cloud. For a fun twist on your wardrobe, wear

something that has a bit of floral design. Yellow perks up any fabric-garden!

    TREND | FASHION

  • Leopard Print

Few patterns are as appealing as wonder-ful cheetah print. These pumps are primar-ily black and are accented with patches of

cheetah print. Avoid dark colors and black as it will make the individual pieces appear to

blend together. Try lighter colors instead; white is recommended, as it will complete the triad of neutral colors while still giving the shoes the spotlight. A great compliment to these

heels would be an outfit that also has a cheetah print accent.

    Aztec Print

Take a look at the pattern on these shoes! What you absolutely do not want to do is wear an outfit with patterns on it; it could

detract from the shoes, and if worn incorrectly, you could wind up looking incredibly loud. Opt instead to stick with solid, muted colors, which will call all attention to the bright contrasting

colors of the shoes. These heels speak vol-umes by themselves and absolutely should

    not have any competition.

  • Tuxedo Pump

These pumps suited for a gentle-lady already possess the neutral tones of tan,

black and white. The great thing about this is that you can pick nearly anything to wear as these neutral colors can match with virtu-ally your entire wardrobe. Contrary to what has been said thus far, pick any outfit with colors that pop; the whiteness of the shoes will draw a curious eye to wonder why it is

not as vibrant as the rest of the ensem-ble. Strange-sounding, yes, but it is a

bit like reverse-psychology for fashion, of course!

    TREND | FASHION

  • Turquoise Wedge

Fierce, indeed! The colors of these shoes are light and fun. The light colors of crme or beige combines well with the warm colors of

smooth turquoise, lime green and sugar pink for an overall soft appearance thats put-together

and shoe-centric. Heavy use of darkness would really put a damper on the design, but a touch

of light gray could really make a colorful statement!

  • Green and PinkFloral

These detailed wedges are not at all lacking detail, so no additional patterns or details on

your clothes are necessary. The colors are a bit softer and muted compared to some of the other

shoes listed, however. Striking bright colors including white will deter attention from the

shoes. Choose black or a darker shade of gray instead to compliment the wooden

wedges and allow a chance for these flowers to bloom.

    Wild Print

Quite a bit going on with these heels, isnt there? Five different colors and various pat-

tern details make sure no part of these shoes is bland. There is a notable amount of the neutrals tan and black amidst the color. Keep your outfit

dark; black would be the perfect backdrop to let the pink, orange and yellow in the shoe pop out more vibrantly. Avoid eye-catching

and multicolored patterns in your out-fits because the shoe already pos-

    sesses these qualities.

  • There are many ways in which a man can express himself; wardrobe, dia-lect, a deep manly grunt Me Tarzan, you Jane. However the expression we are diving into today is one of the modern man, and its all about the collection of hair that grows on the chin, upper lip, cheeks and neck. Thats right today we are discussing mens facial hair, or more spe-cifically the beard. For years, the clean-cut man-boy was ruling the runway. I mean the good natured, clean shaven, smoother than a babys bottom good boy. Then a gritty crew rolled in and changed the game. With it, the beard invasion began. A beard is one of the oldest, underappre-ciated, and overlooked accessories a man can have. And while they are worn with jeans and a cardigan, the beard is not just for a dress down look. Chances are youre go-ing to need a little sculpt-ing here and there de-pending on the look you are trying to achieve. So remember, just as there are different styles of clothing suited to par-ticular body types, there are facial hair styles that look best on certain face

shapes. By changing your facial hair, you can seriously play up or de-emphasize the features on your face.

    Face type: Square

Facial hair styles: Men with square faces should opt for styles that make their faces appear less box-like and more slen-der. The style: Light but all-over beard with comple-mentary hairstyle.

Description: One look that works well for men with square faces is an all-over beard thats clipped close to the face. Simply grow your fa-cial hair out for several weeks and then use clip-pers to keep the length short. If you want to go all-out, and do slick styl-ing around your mouth and chin area, your best bet is to visit a barber initially to get the sharp look youre after. Once the barbers done his handiwork, youll find that this style is fairly low-maintenance and requires only a high-quality razor to keep its shape.

  • Face type: Rectangle/Oblong

Facial hair styles: Rectangular or oblong faces tend to be quite slender and angu-lar. If you have this face shape, a beard is one facial hair style that can balance your features out by visually shortening the length of your face while creating the illusion that your face is more oval.

The style: The 24/7 5-oclock Shadow

Description: Grow a slightly scruffy beard to change the appearance of your face as well as conceal your not-so-favor-ite facial features. If you have a very long face as well as a slightly receding hairline, then try sporting a respectable amount of facial hair, then your face seems less angular and the hairline less noticeable. All in all, its a very distinguished look. It doesnt take a lot of effort. Simply let your facial hair grow out for about a week or so, depending on how fast your hairs grow, and then shave every few days to maintain a cleaner shape.

    TREND | FASHION

  • Face type: Round

Facial hair styles: Individuals with round faces should try facial hair styles that have the effect of making faces ap-pear masculine and oval-shaped. How-ever, take care not to choose a style that will overwhelm your features, particu-larly if you have a round face and small features. Also, avoid strong sideburns. The style: A highly-stylized circle beard. Description: Avoid sideburns and keep your hair cropped close to your head. Try sporting a circle beard, which is characterized by a mustache that con-tinues along the sides of the mouth to meet up with facial hair on the chin. To get this style, grow your facial hair out as best you can while continuing to shave your jaw and neck. Once youre satisfied with the length, visit a barber to get the super-sharp lines, and then maintain the look with a clipper and razor at home. The key to this look is to make sure the rest of your face gets a smooth, close shave, thus, invest in a good razor and some high-quality shav-ing cream.

  • Face type: Triangular

Facial hair styles: Men with triangular-shaped faces tend to have very pointed chins. A fuller beard will make these faces appear more masculine by adding weight along the jaw line and the chin. The style: A more unkempt facial hair style meets a modern hairstyle. Description: Have a soft jaw line as well as a more pointed chin? Adopt a shag-gier, medium-weight beard to visually bulk up your face. This style is rather easy to grow and maintain, and you can probably do it without any professional assistance. All you have to do is grow your hair out while shaving bits on your chin as well as keeping the lines along your cheeks and sideburns in good shape by removing any stray hairs with a razor.

    TREND | FASHION

  • Face type: Pear/Diamond

Facial hair styles: For pear- or diamond-shaped faces with a very prominent chin, a full beard can help minimize and soften your facial features. Having long sideburns will also balance your face out and reduce the pointed appearance of your chin. A beard will mini-mize a soft or overly prominent chin. The style: Long, thick sideburns with a beard that provides light, all-over face coverage. Description: Start by letting your facial hair grow anywhere between two weeks to a month, depending on how quickly your hair grows, without trimming it. Once youre satis-fied with the coverage on your face, youll need to use scissors or a trimmer to keep the length short and cropped close to your face. Use a razor around all the edges to maintain the outline and shape of your facial hair. You might also need to grow your sideburns out, but let these grow for longer than four weeks if you need to before you start trimming them. Aim to have sideburns quite a bit thicker than the rest of your facial hair to perfect the mix of rugged and clean-cut.

Now everyone is a critic, and your beard will gain com-mentary, and nobody will have more than her. We asked the ladies of TREND Studios to chime in, and here is what we found.

OrcaleGoddess commented, to me, guys add to their age with a beard. So, if you want to look older, grow a beard. If you want to look younger, shave. While VardaSilver says Beards are ok I like the goatee in mov-ies but, not on my men. I pre-fer them hairless everywhere except down there. RaeAnn adds It depends on the guy. Some can really pull it off, and some cant. I dont mind it, as long as its well maintained. And not a huge mountain-man type deal although there are always exceptions. So it looks like the opinion is split in TREND Studios, right down the middle! (Though the goatee seems to be towing the line)

Great as beards areand we could go on another millen-nium about how much we dig themthe truth is theyre not for every guy. Specifically theyre not for guys who cant grow them fully. Theres noth-ing worse than a guy with patches all over his face. And, so, for the follicly-challenged out there lets not grow them. In case you were wondering why we left out the oval face type, its because working with that shape is pretty dummy-proof.

How women perceive men with facial hair is bound to dif-fer from one to another. While one woman may be turned on by a full-blooded mooch or a sexy goatee, another may be quite disgusted by the pres-ence of facial hair on her man. There are no definite answers to whether women like men with facial hair. Some do, some dont and the rest want to know who we are talk-

ing about. The best way to go about it is to adopt a look that goes with your physical and personal style and then look for the kind of women who are going to like what you wearing.

Facial hair grows back quickly, so dont be afraid to play around with whatever style you end up choosing. You can always shave it off if you dont like the end result, and chang-ing your facial hair style is of-ten an easy way to update your look. Before you do anything, however, really consider the shape of your face as well as how much facial hair youll be able to grow.

  • CONceptz, your show was exquisite! The room lay-out was so diverse, youd never expect a fashion show to be in room like yours, and your new clothes are fabulous! They are so detailed! I just loved it! Keep doing what youre doing :] -- JamieLaToi

  • Gothically Delicious was the key point at the SinMachine debut for Trend Magazine Fashion week 2012. There was an immense crowd gath-ered, as many, big names and spectators in the fashion biz, conglomerated to ooos and ahhs at the latest goodies soon to be produced. If you have read some of my previous articles you would know that I had the opportunity to interview SinMachine, I was excited to have the opportunity once more before the show started. Naughty told me suddenly in private, and I was all too ready to shoot out some more questions for you fellow readers.

It took me a while to make my way through the crowd, but when I found him, he was dress from neck to toe in shiny black vinyl. His eyes gleamed with a glint of mischief as his companion sat behind him covered completely in black from top of head to toe, I could almost not make out there was someone there until I saw the crown of spikes on top of his head. Perched happily be-hind SinMachine, I smiled politely and ask Sin-Machine when he had a free moment to let me know.

The opportunity presented itself as we found a moment to share thoughts, right before the cur-tain opened. I asked Sin if what we were seeing tonight was entirely from his creation, if all tex-tures used tonight were done by his hand from scratch. Sin replied. Yep, everything is made from hand and from scratch each time. I dont use pre-made templates at all.

I then asked him what programs he used to form these creations for any one reading this and fa-miliar with his work and what he would consider the hardest to make using this. He said, I use a

version of Photoshop I got back in college.....10 years ago, lol and hardest to design....anything that isnt shiny. I have the worst trouble with clo-thy folds.

I was curious what he would call the theme or ti-tle to those show we are about to witness, and he answered, God I wrestled with a title for tonight collection. I couldnt come up with one other than just wander in the park of elegant damna-tion. These are my creatures, my creations that I adore and hope someone will take them home and adore them too.

It was getting close to starting time so I hurried up with my last question, and I asked him what one piece would he like us all to keep an eye out for tonight? He told me, My prize baby is Velth, the shiny, long black coat. Hes made of a layerable corset, layerable coat and simple un-dershirt. My ideal to make each of my pieces are versatile as possible so that my customers have the opportunity to pair them up as they choose.

I had wanted to tell him this before but I re-member his work from a very long time ago, so I whispered, On a personal note I dont think you know I actually have bought your things since you began, he and still have them, Im wearing one tonight. Good luck with your show you de-serve the spotlight! Sin laughed, hahaha awe-some and thank you.

The curtain drew back and then came in the music as we danced in our seats to a dark beat, SinMachine narrated for us, Good evening all and welcome to the show. I would like to thank you all for being here and hope that what I will be presenting tonight will tickle you as it has me. As always my fashion is inspired by an affinity for all things fetish and dark. This show is no exception. We will walk the twisted paths to the gardens of beauties basking in the comfort of the night and flushed with a pinch of crimson to

  • give life to an otherwise aphetic existence. Each one will be adorned in a meshing of lay-ers meant to allow the utmost versatility of this collection. I have chosen to frame them in ac-cessories made by the talents of GrimWorm, Tympany, Dartvot and Hujimusume to name a few. I want nothing more than your remains to stay seated and allow your senses to savor the display.

The first model took his place as he strode out onstage. Sin Machine announced, That little wonder I called Ingnis: Red pants, layerable belted corset with an off shoulder sweater.

The model showed off a pair of exquisite crimson pants and a dark off shoulder flirty top, and then turned the corner, as the next model followed behind. SinMachine then said, This is my raven. He wears a feathered collar, corset and long skirt of blue black qualities. The silencer does a fair job but not a bird I wish to feed from my hand. I agreed as I saw the dark beauty that took center stage, almost breath taking as many of us clapped when he arrive.

Sin Machine then spoke as raven passed us, and the next model moved forward. This one is a simple crea-ture with a single rose strung from a silken ribbon. The pants are quite versatile with many looks and fits.

The crowd applauded as he walked past, many ladies compliment his works as the next one took his place in historic gothic fashion, SinMachine proudly intro-duced, Velth loves to hear about your authorial. He finds it cute. He is dripped head to foot in PVC:

layer-able long coat, layer-able corset and a simple un-dershirt finishes off his look. The crowd cheered and clapped as Velth showed off his glory.

As Velth left the stage behind him followed another model dressed in a sharp crimson top with a sleek black vest and matching pants. SinMachine said, Sulv is smacked in a red shirt, cinched into an alternative vest and laced up in a breezy pair of pants. He en-joys long walks on the beach and conversation sure. Then Renee came out to play dressed in black again, yet very refined, even with a spectacle, and what a spectacle he created as he strode smoothly down the catwalk Dressed like a very hot dark dream. SinMa-chine boasted about Renee, Rene holds every ounce of class I could pour. Not only is his hygiene impec-cable but his wardrobe would make the devil grin.

Well, nonetheless that is all from me tonight. Thank you all for coming out this evening and everything youve seen will be available for sale in the next 5 min-utes (I suppose now I owe the ladies quite a bit). A huge round of applause is due to Naughty and Trend for putting on this massive event. Thank you for all your work. Sin Machine said as they last model did his strut. SinMachine then took stage himself as the crowd went wild with applause. That was the show for the night and well worth every people packed second!
