Odisha, the DLS Dharmagarh

Branch (Kalahandi) organised a

five days’ Sadhana Shivir and

Spiritual Conference from 8th to

12th February 2015. Pujya

Gajapati Maharaja Sri Dibya-

singh Deb, President Swami

Chidananda Shatavarshiki

Samiti, Odisha graced the

programme with his presence and

also blessed the devotees with his

messages.

Swami Devabhaktanandaji, Sri

Swami Brahmasakshatkaranandaji,

Scholars and dignitaries attended

the programme and addressed the

gathering. More than 500

Sadhaks attended the Sadhana

Shivir and about 5000 devotees

participated in the Spiritual

Conference. All the participants of

Sadhana Shivir and Spiritual

Conference were given booklets

and leaflets as Jnana Prasad.

Chandigarh Branch organized a

Sadhana Shivir from 6th to 8th

March 2015 on the auspicious

occasion of its Annual day and

under the aegis of Birth Centenary

Celebrations of Worshipful Sri

Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj. Sri

Swami Advaitanandaji Maharaj,

Sri Swami Dharmanishtha-

nandaji, Sri Swami Akshara-

nandaji from the Headquarters

Ashram, Sri Swami Vedanandaji

from Jalandhar, Sri Swami

Satyeshanandaji from Rama-

krishna Mission Chandigarh and

Col. Dr. Rajkumar Sharma

attended the Shivir and addressed

the devotees in different sessions.

The first day of the Shivir

featured a special programme by

60 children of Ananda Divine Life

Society Children’s Branch

Chandigarh—Panchkula, wherein

the children exhibited their

talents by singing Ashram

prayers, performing Yogasanas,

drawing and narrating Puranic

stories. Next day’s programme

included Prabhat-pheri,

discourses by distinguished

guests and cultural programme by


the devotees of Kartikeya Temple,

Chandigarh. On 8th March, the

day started with morning

meditation session conducted by

Sri Swami Dharmanishtha-

nandaji. It was followed by Paduka

Puja, discourses and question-

answer session.

More than 200 devotees from

Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana,

Delhi, U.P., Odisha and Gujarat

attended the Sadhana Shivir. All

the participants of Sadhana Shivir

were given two booklets as Jnana

Prasad.

HOW TO REALISE GOD?

God is a question of supply and demand. If you really yearn for His

Darshan, He will reveal Himself to you in an instant.

You need neither art nor science, neither study nor erudition for

God-realisation, but faith, purity and devotion.

Combine all the love you cherish towards all worldly objects—wife,

son, wealth, property, relatives, friends—and then apply this combined

love towards God. You will realise in this very second.

To serve God and Mammon at the same time is impossible. You cannot

enjoy the bliss of the Self and the sensual pleasure in one and the same

cup. You cannot have light and darkness at the same time.

The Lord demands your whole heart.

Reduce yourself into zero before God. Only then will God completely

take care of and guide you. Only then surrender becomes complete.

Forget your own interests, your own longings, your own desires. You

will attain the bliss of the Supreme Self.

Crucify, sacrifice the lower self, if you wish to have union with God.

Empty your egoism. You will be filled with God. Lose your personality.

You will find the Divine Life. You will realise God. —Swami Sivananda

and My Stamp in a programme organized at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

National Memorial, Shahibaug on 25th March 2015. The Programme

was organized as a part of Gujpex—2015 (13th Gujarat Zonal Level

Philatelic Exhibition).

The programme commenced with the welcome address by Sri R. K.

Jayabhaye, Director Postal Service, Ahmedabad. Thereafter, Brig.

Sanjeev Thapar, Chief Postmaster General, Gujarat Circle, Sri Swami

Padmanabhanandaji Maharaj, General Secretary, DLS Headquarters

and Sri Swami Advaitanandaji Maharaj, Chairman Swami Chidananda


Birth Centenary Celebration Committee jointly released the Special

Postal Cover of Param Pujya Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj and My

Stamp.

inaugurated the Parayana on 28th

February at Sri Vishwanath

Mandir. Sri S. Ramakrishnan of

Trivandrum, Kerala and Sri M.

Subramanian of Ambur,

Tamilnadu recited Krishna

Yajurveda Taittiriya Samhita as

their loving offering at the feet of

Sadgurudev Sri Swami

Sivanandaji Maharaj and Param

Pujya Sri Swami Chidanandaji

Maharaj. In the night Satsang

on 3rd March, Sri Swami

Padmanabhanandaji Maharaj in

his talk comparing the Mantras

of Krishna Yajurveda Taittiriya

Samhita with Vidyas in

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad

apprised the gathering of their

similarities. Sri Swamiji

Maharaj also honoured Sri

S. Ramakrishnan and Sri

M. Subramanian.

Srimad Bhagavata Mahapurana Parayana was organized from 6th to13th March 2015 at Sri Divya Nam Mandir. H.H. Sri SwamiPadmanabhanandaji Maharaj inaugurated the Parayana on 6th March withthe recitation of the first chapter of the Srimad Bhagavat MahapuranaMahatmya. The Sannyasins, Brahmacharins and devotees of the Ashramrecited Srimad Bhagavata Mahapurana as their loving Seva for BirthCentenary Celebrations of Worshipful Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj. Onthe concluding day i.e. 13th March, H.H. Sri Swami Vimalanandaji Maharajand H.H. Sri Swami Padmanabhanandaji Maharaj blessed the programmewith their holy presence. The programme concluded with SriVishnusahasranama Path, Arati and distribution of special Prasad.
