SPARDHA_E_ABHIVYAKTI- A COMPETITION OF EXPRESSIONS

SPARDHA-E-ABHIVYAKTI (a competition of expressions) came up with the ground of MOTS

COMBAT (Debate competition) on the topic CAA & NRC for the students of Mandsaur

University & Mandsaur International School to contest with the minds/ words and decode

what is hidden behind the thought that unleased the trauma witnessed by people under

the flagship of Reading & Speaking Club coordinated by department of Communication

Skills on 06/02/2020. The event commenced with the lamp lighting of Lord Sarasvati and an

invocation speech by Ms Tanushree Shrivastav. The opening remarks were presented by

Akshara Nahata, student of Mandsaur International School. Henceforth, the debate was

initiated by the students from University as well as from MIS, who argued for the motion and

against the motion.

GUEST LECTURE ON MACHINE LEARNING

Department of Computer Application and Sciences organized a one day guest lecture on

Machine Learning on 26/02/2020. The keynote speaker was Dr. Neelam Chaplot, Bhandari,

Professor, Poornima University, Jaipur, and Rajasthan. The session began with the welcome

ceremony. The main objective behind this session was to educate students about “Machine

Learning its history and applications”. The key speaker delivered the lecture on power point

where each term and methodology of Machine Learning was briefly articulated followed by

a brief talk by Dr. Pradeep Lashkar, Associate Professor CSE. A formal vote of thanks was

suggested by Ms. Priyanshi Sharma, a student of Computer Science and Engineering.

ONE DAY NATIONAL SEMINAR ON INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

Department of Department of Computer Application and Sciences organized a "One Day

National Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Patent Filing" on 07/02/ 2020. The

key resource person was Dr. Manish Rachchh (Director R & D and C.E.O, Accuprec Research

Labs Pvt. Ltd. Ahmedabad). He is also a Registered Patent Agent with Patent Office of India

(IN/PA-1573). It was a whole day seminar which was invoked with the traditional lamp

lightening ceremony and a welcome speech by Vice Chancellor. The main objective of this

seminar was to make aware students and research scholars about “Intellectual property

rights and benefits of IPR also to make patent file in global market so that it will affect the

Indian economy”.

DEMONSTRATION AND EXPLANATION OF THE PRINCIPLE OF F.T.I.R

A session on the Demonstration and Explanation of the principle of FTIR was organized for the

final year students on 31/01/2020. While demonstrating, Mr. Karan Gupta educated the

minds about the principle and working mechanism of sophisticated Instruments. It is the most

widely used technique in organic chemistry for the elucidation of structure of unknown

compound by producing its IR spectrum also called as emission spectrum. This technique

measures the absorption of infrared radiation by the sample material versus wavelength. The

infrared absorption bands identify molecular components and structures. These activities

provide a platform for the students to know about the theoretical as well as practical

aspects of the FTIR (Fourier-transform infrared) Instrument. At the end of the session, students

were able to answer about the basics of FTIR Spectroscopy.

NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME CAMP

NSS unit of Mandsaur University, Mandsaur organized a special camp in the village Guradia

Deda and Village Ralayata from 10-02-2020 to 16-02-2020. The main project for this camp to

make the village literate.The Volunteers of the NSS unit performed many other activities –

awareness programmes as literacy, tree plantation, health and hygiene, construction and

repairs, communal harmony etc. In this camp, various types of social and cultural activities

were organized by the volunteers.

In social activities, programs like Prabhat Pheri, NukkadNatak, and awareness Rally were

organized based on certain issues related to the society like - literacy, health, hygiene,

smoking, dowry etc. In the dawn of 2nd and 3rd day, free health tests were conducted by

Mandsaur Ayurvedic Hospital at village Guradia Deda and village Ralayata where more

than 350 villagers were treated from both villages.

EXPERT SESSION ON TABLET FORMULATION AND ITS EVALUATION METHODS

Tablet is a unit solid dosage form containing active ingredient with or without suitable

excipients. These are most widely used dosage form. A session was organized for the

students of VIII Semester for the formulation of tablet and its evaluation methods on

04/02/2020. The main objective of the design and manufacture of the compressed tablet is

to deliver orally correct amount of drug in the proper form over proper time and at desired

location, so as to have suitable chemical integrity protected at the point of its action. The

resource person was Dr. Amit K Jain who edified the students about the formulation of tablet,

examples of various addictives, pictorial imagery of machinery used in industry and their

applications.

“INVESTOR AWARENESS & SEBI ROLE”

An adjunct lecture on “Investor Awareness & SEBI Role” was conducted by the Faculty of

Business Administration and Commerce on 11 Feb 2020. The Keynote speaker was Mr.

LakhanDabi, a Certified Trainer from SEBI.

The basic objective of session was to make the students aware about the concept of

Investment, share market, role of SEBI. The session began at 11.00 am in the DBMC Lab with

warm welcome by Prof. Shyamlal Patidar, Prof. Avinash Vikram (HOD) greeted the guest by

presenting a bouquet. In the session, the speaker highlighted the basics of investment,

inflation, investment avenues, demat, depositaries, mutual fund etc. and also discussed the

emerging issues in Indian investment market.

“BOLLYWOOD ATTIRE DAY”

Department of Business Management and Commerce organized “Bollywood Attire Day” – a

role play activity on the theme of bollywood on 20/02/ 2020 at LT-01, Campus I, Mandsaur

University. In this competition, 24 various skits and role plays were performed by the students

of BBA, B.Com and MBA. The motive of the event was to develop leadership skills, teamwork

among students. The students showed their creative and innovative skills during the act. The

activity began at 01:10 pm with the lamp lighting. The judgement for the event was done by

Dr. Lokeshwar Singh Jodhana & Prof. Shradha Jhaloya. The activity was coordinated by Prof.

Sonakshi Agrawal, Prof. Sakshi, Prof. Shikha, Prof. Ruben and Prof. Saurabh Mishra.

“BEST PAPER AWARD AT INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE”

The research paper entitled “A Study on Financial Literacy - A Tool for Assessing Financial

Capability (With Special Reference to Women Residing at Mandsaur District of Madhya

Pradesh)” was selected as Best Paper in the International Conference organized by

Poornima University, Jaipur. The Paper is jointly written by Mr. Avinash Vikram & Dr. Mukesh

Sharma. The paper was presented by Mr. Avinash Vikram.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT AT PYROTECH ELECTRONICS PVT.LTD.

Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mandsaur University has organized an

Industrial visit at Pyrotech Electronics Ltd Pvt (Udaipur, Rajsthan) on 1st Feb 2020. The

purpose of this Industrial visit was to provide an excellent opportunity to all the students to

interact and know more about industrial environment. The intention was to help the students

to create a practical perspective on the World of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Mr.

Kartik Suthar (Quality Engineer) explains students all the technical aspects of different LED

Driver circuits of LED street lights and LED panel lights. He explained to the students in detail

about every part used in the driver circuits and how the work is being done at each

component shop.

WORKSHOP ON ADVANCED NEWS ANCHORING TECHNIQUES

A Workshop on News Anchoring was held for the students of Journalism and Mass

communication on 13th of March 2020. Mr. Manish Purohit conducted this workshop. Mr.

Purohit has half a decade experience in the field of News Anchoring. In the field of

Electronic Media practical knowledge is key than theoretical knowledge. Mr. Purohit helped

the students understand various styles of news anchoring. He also made the students

understand the difference between News Bytes and On-field News Reporting.
