“By grace you have been saved...”
Ephesians 2:8 – this is the theme of this
year’s ELCA National Youth
Gathering. Our youth will dig deep
into this fundamental part of the
Lutheran faith when they travel to
Houston this summer. They are also
going to dig deep into service
projects. And we are asking you to
continue to dig deep with your
financial support for the costs of this trip! Just take an
envelope from the bulletin board in the Gathering Space, fill
it with the amount listed on the front (cash, check, or donate
at the Giving Station), and put in offering. Then SMILE—you
are a blessing to the youth and their advisors!

Results of Thanks & Giving event last Sunday
• Hundreds of pounds of turkey roasted and carved
• Thanksgiving cards drawn/decorated by Trinity kids
• Almost 300 pounds of non-perishable food collected and
taken to New Hope Ministry
• 175 meals packaged and delivered to elderly Trinity
members and members of our surrounding communities
• 30 meals taken to Susquehanna Safe Harbor homeless
shelter
• All remaining food delivered to Bethesda Mission
All this happened while we had a FUN time at an 80’s dance
party with a full-size turkey running around Fellowship Hall.
Trinity is blessed to have a community of people during the
holidays to help others, all while working together in
wonderful fellowship. So THANK YOU to all 150+ volunteers
who made these results happen. We know this is a busy time
of year, and we’re so glad you chose to be part of Trinity’s
Thanks & Giving celebration!

The Men’s Breakfast Gathering will meet on Saturday,
December 2, at Joe Hunter’s home, 506 Gale Road, Camp
Hill. All men and their friends are invited. Breakfast starts at 8.
Join us for a good breakfast, good company, and Bible
study. We will end at 9:30. The breakfast gathering is relaxed
and informal. Invite a friend. Call Joe and Judy at 717-737-
9933; or e-mail [email protected] to help in their
planning of the food or to ask questions.

TRINITY CONCERT SERIES
Saturday, Dec. 2, at 7:30 pm: HOLIDAY! with The Harrisburg
Singers. Concert Series Patrons receive up to four free tickets
that are available in the church office during business hours.
Non-patrons pay regular ticket prices. (Contact
www.harrisburgsingers.org for info.)
Isaac's Community Night is coming up fast! That's right, our
Isaac's Community Night Fundraiser is on Wednesday,
December 6, from 5–9 pm. On this night, you are invited to
dine at Isaac's in the Lemoyne Plaza. When you pay, just turn
in a filled-out "Community Night" flyer with your bill. Isaac's will
donate 25 percent of that bill to help to send our Sr. High YG
to the 2018 ELCA National Youth Gathering in Houston next
summer. It's a win-win night: You get great food AND you
support our YG! Spread the word! Pick up several flyers in the
Gathering Space and get them out to all friends and family.
P.S. This fundraiser works for take-out orders, too!
Building Plan Q&A
If you’ve heard the talk about building renovation plans
but haven’t attended any of the update sessions,
or if you’d like to attend again,
here are two more options to hear directly
from folks in the know!
▪ Sunday, December 3, 5:45 pm, Gathering Space
and/or
▪ Monday, December 4, 6:30 pm, Room 237
Once again, we’ll show detailed architectural drawings and
explain what renovations could look like if we proceed.
AND we’ll repeat that NO decisions have yet been made.

purchase the gift indicated. Whether large or small, each gift
shares the message of true Christmas given from the heart.
Knitwear collection for homeless children:
Trinity is collecting knit hats, gloves, mittens,
and scarves for elementary school-aged
homeless children in the Harrisburg School
District. These items are distributed to the
children at a Christmas party which is
sponsored by local businesses. Trinity has
supported this effort for many years through
your generous contributions. A collection box for purchased
or handmade knitwear will be in the Gathering Space until
November 26. Items donated beyond the needs of the
Christmas party will be distributed to other local children.
ELCA Good Gifts: What do you give to the person who has
everything? How about a gift that makes a difference in
people’s lives around the world! You could gift a cow, a
goat, a pig, honey bees, school supplies, mosquito nets…the
list is endless. Stop by the ELCA Good Gift Table on Dec. 3, 10,
or 17 to get more information. Truly a Christmas Gift!
Reach out to our hospitalized and at-home members. See the
list in the Narthex and the Gathering Space tract rack. Your
prayers and contacts bring peace and comfort.
