MediaFilmFestival.org

The Media Film Festival is honored and excited to present this very special event in a very special venue, the jewel of Delaware County, the historic Media Theatre. As this weekend of short film unfolds, it is our sincere hope that you will enjoy sitting amongst, perhaps, your friends and neighbors as the lights dim and the big screen comes to life.

Ours is an event that celebrates the efforts of both filmmakers and volunteers alike. A group of like minded individuals, working year-round, pours over hours of submitted works of short film, which is truly an art form unto itself, in order to curate what we know as the Media Film Festival.

We owe many thanks to the Borough of Media, the Media Theatre, Rhile Construction, our other generous sponsors and especially to you. Enjoy the town of Media and all is has to offer. Enjoy this grand palace that is our home, and most of all, enjoy the films!

MyFi Program

The Media Youth Film Initiative is one of MAC’s signature educational programs. In partnership with the Media Youth Center, this 10-week program teaches area high school students the art of storytelling through film.

Under the mentorship of filmmakers Hezekiah Lewis and Darryl Ridgeway, students learn everything from pitching their scripts storyboarding to directing, producing, lighting, cinematography, sound and editing. MyFi alumni have gone on to respected university film

programs and one graduate has become a professional actor.

MyFi is made possible through generous gifts from the PA Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency; the Ethel Sergeant Clark Smith Memorial Fund; Congregation Ohev Shalom and the Rotary Club of Media.

Find out more about MyFi by visiting: mediaartscouncil.org
