Twiggs Gallery is a unique venture conceived by local NH artist and calligrapher, Adele Sanborn. The gallery space exhibits local and re-gional artists on a rotating basis. The store features Duffy’s Attic full of shabby-chic antiques, and shelves filled with fun uniquities. There is classroom space for classes and workshops.

Located within Twiggs Gallery, Cornerstone Design offers calligra-phy services by Adele Sanborn to create custom works of art and calligraphy for your special events. In addition, Adele’s gift works and art are always on display in the Twiggs Gallery.

Owner: Adele SanbornBorn and raised in Long Island, New York, Adele Sanborn received a BFA from the Rochester Institute of Technology and moved to Boscawen, NH in the early ‘70s. She and her husband dairy farmed right on the land that Twiggs is built on. In 1984 Adele started the graphic design firm of Cornerstone Design and in 1990 she opened the retail store, Caardvark, in downtown Concord, NH. Later, in 2005 she traded in some of her retail talents to spend her time pursuing her calligraphy and papermaking full time at her studio, The Paint Box, in Webster, NH.

In 2014, she began her newest business venture, Twiggs Gallery at Cornerstone Design. She closed her studio in Webster, NH, bought the former Boscawen town office for $1, and moved it across the road to it’s new location at 254 King Street, conveniently located next to her home and horse pasture. Adele brought on board Laura Morrison, Concord fiber artist, to guide the gallery at Twiggs. The creative goal of Twiggs Gallery is to create a vibrant space for rotating art shows, workshops that offer creative opportunities for the community, and a gathering place to visit and enjoy.
