Customers

Diagram 2 show s the tables and relationships that store informationabout you r customers, such as custom er add resses, business pur poses,contacts, teleph one n um bers, relationships, and classes.

Customer Usage

Diagram 3 show s the tables and relationships that store information

about customers and tr ansactions. The information includ es customercalls, paym ent schedu les, and correspond ence.

Tax Groups

Diagram 4 show s the tables and relationships that store informationabout you r tax groups. Tax groups let you calculate mu ltiple,cond itional taxes automatically based on th e Ship To Province, State,

Country, or Tax Classification of the Bill To customer.

Transactions

Diagram 5 shows the ta bles and relationships th at store invoices, creditmem os, dep osits, and g uar antees. You can see how shipm ent,salesperson, t ax, general ledger distribution, receivable ap plication,pay men t sched ule, and ad justm ent records relate to the tables that

store these tran sactions.

Bills Receivable

United States Sales Tax

Diagram 10 show s the ta bles and relationships th at Oracle ReceivablesApp lications uses to tr ansfer batches of transaction records as journalentries from you r receivables sub ledger to your genera l ledger orgeneral ledger interface area. This information includ es general ledgerposted d ate, general ledger start and end d ates, a sum mary or detailposting ind icator, and a ru n journal imp ort ind icator.

Party

Diagram 11 shows th e tables and relationships th at store informa tionabout p arties. The informa tion includ es party sites, locations, timezones, certifications, cred it rating, and reference.

Party MergeDiagram 12 show s the tables and relationships that store informationabout the par ty merge process. The information includ es details aboutthe batch th at contains the p arties to be merged , the tables affected bythe m erge process, the history of operations p erformed, and the d etailsof the records affected by the p rocess.

ClassificationDiagram 13 show s the tables and relationships that store informationabou t classifying entities. The inform ation includ es classificationcategories, the uses, entities using th ese categor ies, the codes for eachof the categories, the relationships betw een codes, and th e assignm entof codes to th e relevant entities.

Diagram 14 shows the tables and relationships that store informationabout organizations, such as indu strial classifications, security issued ,finan cial reports, ind ustrial reference, and organization ind icators.

Person

Diagram 15 show s the tables and relationships that store informationabout peop le, such as citizenship, edu cation, emp loyment h istory,person langu age, and p erson interest.

Contact PointDiagram 16 show s the tables and relationships that store contact pointsand contact restrictions. You can see how contact points and contactrestrictions can be a ssigned to var ious entities.

How to Use These D atabase D iagrams

Following is an examp le of how you m ight use these datab asediagrams:

Sup pose you w ant to w rite a report that sum marizes customer p rofileinformation for all of the customers that you have entered d ur ing thepast six mon ths. You tu rn to the Customers d iagram to see the tablestructure for the Customers building block. You learn tha t customerprofile inform ation is stored in th e table H Z_CUSTOMER_PROFILES.You see that information on th e specific amoun t of mon ey associatedw ith each cu stom er is stored in the HZ_CUST_PROFILE_AMTS table.

N ext, you tu rn to th e Table and View D efinitions section in t he eTRMto learn about th e column s in each of these tables. Using thisinformation, you can write a report that shows a su mm ary of customerprofile and profile amou nt information for each customer.
