Executive Committee

Board of TrusteesOm Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya

Sadaraniya Namaskar. As we move into the second half of the year, it reminds me howswiftly the year passes loaded with pre-scheduled calendar events, special events, invited eminent scholarly personalities, cultural activities and Vidya Vikas school events, all centered around catering to the Hindu community of D/FW area and beyond, promotingour tradition, culture and simultaneously coping with the structural maintenance of theTemple facility. With the growth of the Hindu communities around the metropolis, multipletemples have been raised catering to the demand of the devotees in the area but oursbeing the oldest, remain as the mother temple, visited continuously not only by Hindudevotees but also by all area schools & campuses. Regular Temple tours serving tothese needs and facilitating the inter-faith education has developed our Temple as arecognized center for exchanging knowledge on Hindu religion, culture and traditions. We have been the increased focus of local area TV channels as the ìthe epicenterî ofHindu religion providing inter-faith educational exchange to the needs of all diversepopulation in the area. These together have amplified the demand for constantmaintenance, upgrading and improvising on both structural and infrastructure front, implementing for a model Hindu religious organization. This is to uphold high our culture, faith, and traditions.

I stay privileged, honored and blessed interacting and looking over such opportunitiesserving as the first volunteer under the banner of the President for DFW Hindu Templefor the rest of the 2018 year. Considering how unique this medium to serve the Deitiesand their devotees, we try to provide the best through all scheduled calendar events, the Ram-Navami celebration along with HanumanJayanti, Hanuman chalisa chanting, ending with Akhanda Ramayana and Tyagaraja aradhana, offering of His melodiouscompositions to Lord Rama. Kavadi celebration for Lord Mueugan was exceptional. Themonth of April was celebrated with Hindu New year for most communities marking thenew harvest and welcoming the spring. Akshaya Tritiya, initiating with Prabhu Jagannathapuja and Ratha construction work marked the beginning for all new undertakings.Ramanuja Jayanti celebration and regular Nadhopaasanas recites meaningful culturalflavor to our great religious traditions. Auspicious Nrusimha Janma puja along withPrabhu Jagannatha chandana puja lead to the long awaited ìShree JagannathaKathamritaî, as a significant part of the noble, ëMahaprabhu Jagannatha PancharatraMahatmya’’ puja. It was celebrated from May from 11th-13th, presided by, none otherthan, His Excellency, the King, Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb of Puri, the sole primary hereditary Sevaka of Prabhu Jagannatha along with othereminent dignitary speakers, Pujya Paramahamsa Prajnanananda Maharajof Kriya Yoga International and Pujya Swami Sarveshananda Saraswati Maharajof Chinmaya Mission, Dallas on the theme involving “Shree Purushottama-Jagannatha: The Lord Supreme”. This was followed by two more days of discourseson the ëGlory of Lord Jagannathaí and as an interactive session on ëThe tradition of LordJagannathaí by Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb himself profoundly emphasizingëGyana Yogaí, the knowledge of our scriptures acquired through both rituals anddiscourses as the only source for higher elevation of self. His message was toconsistently mediate this to devotees through periodic organization of high qualityevents at the temple which we do try to establish. More research can be exercised toselectively accomplish such goals. The ëShree Jagannatha Pancharatraí event isscheduled to a later date and will be announced soon. Recently, our celebration ofëSrinivasa Kalyanamí was exemplified by collaborative timely incorporation of melodiousëAnammacharya keerthansí by SVASA group into the Kalyanam ritual. More of suchcrafted collaborations can produce not only quality events but also enrich temple devoteecommunity. Here, I must emphasize on the need of your continued commitment andgenerous financial as well as volunteer support to successfully facilitate events ofsuch scope and scale. As said earlier, while we do take much pride on Hindu philosophyand principles, it becomes an autonomous responsibility upraise and sustain our religiousand cultural traditions, I will continue to request each one of you to graciously make themost out of our upcoming events, flyers are included in Archana for your convenience. Please encourage everyone beyond your family, friends, especially to all kids and youthto witness, while being part of such auspicious moments.

Our Priests have unique expertise catering to Deities from most parts of India, eager as always to serve the religious needs of our devotees. Recently, we haveconducted ìRam Kathaî by our own Priest, each of them with constantly applying theirinnovative expertise to make each event uniquely traditional. I sincerely appreciate mygreat team of Office bearers, Executive committee, and Board of Trustees workingeffortlessly together to serve devotees. Let us keep up the effort to reach out to eachother for
