For over 30 years Ardmore has been helping students from all over the world live and learn the English language.

Ardmore programmes from September to June are dedicated to groups and individual students looking for a short educational programme in the UK, USA or in Europe.

WHY ARDMORE?

What type of programme?

• Ardmore Full Programme includes: 15 hours of English per week (max 15 students per class)

• Full Board Accommodation

• Half Day and Full Day Excursions

• Recreational Activities (sports, art & crafts, English lead activities etc.)

• Evening Entertainment (a mixture of social, sporting and academic activities)

English Lessons

Ardmore English Courses are based on the communicative approach to learning English.

Students will take a placement test and during the course will be able to practise fluency skills through a variety of fun and stimulating activities.

Lessons are enjoyable, interactive and are designed to improve not only the knowledge of English, but also the confidence in using the language.

Our Academic Team has been designed specifically to improve our student’s language skills.

We offer 6 levels of classes and workbooks ranging from pre-beginner to proficiency:

Activate (beginner: A0/A1)

Aspire (elementary: A1/A2)

Ascend (pre-intermediate :A2/B1)

Accelerate (intermediate: B1/B2)

Accomplish (upper-intermediate: B2/C1)

Achieve (advanced: C1+)

We can provide themed lessons, Trinity Exam Preparation and Trinity Exam at supplementary cost. Ardmore is also an accredited LanguageCert centre.

STUDENT WELFARE and SUPERVIVISION How do we take care of students?

Our staff is carefully selected by our Recruitment team to make the experience the best experience ever, and we have in place robust systems to ensure the safety and security of students.

The ratio of staff in our centres is as follows:

Lessons: 1 EFL teacher per 15 students

Activities: 1 Ardmore Activity Leader per 20 students

Excursions: 1 Ardmore Staff member per 20 students

Residences: 12 years and over: 1 adult per 20 students

Under 12 years: 1 adult per 15 students

All students will also have Foreign Group Leaders and Centre Management supervising them during all aspects of the course. We have dedicated Welfare staff to ensure student’s safety and supervision is our priority during their stay.

Ardmore Education offers Academic Year and short stay integration opportunities to students from across the world wanting to experience the British or American education system. Working across the State and Private sector we are able to provide the full wrap around service from the school placements to accommodation and guardianship services.

Redwing Education is Ardmore Pre University courses located at some of the top Universities in the UK and USA. The course has been designed for students aged 14 – 19 years who are considering attending an international university. This programme gives them a taste of what it would be like and includes IELTS training, EAP and admission talks at a minimum of 3 top universities.

Super Camps is the leading child care provider in the UK, delivering day camps at over 70 locations throughout the school holidays. The company specialises in multi-activity camps, offering a wide range of activities designed to fuel imaginations and encourage learning.

The Bushcraft Company provides residential school trips across the UK. Working predominantly with pupils aged 11-14, the trips take place in woodland safari-style camps, where activities include bushcraft, wilderness cookery, plant and tree identification, orienteering and archery.

Berkshire College is the home of Ardmore and makes it the perfect destination for an English language programme.

The college is set in beautiful landscaped grounds with a historic Mansion House, situated on the edge of the Chilterns and overlooking the Thames Valley.

The recently refurbished classrooms and common room are located in the Mansion House; the accommodation blocks and the school canteen are few steps away.

Ardmore Education is happy to offer a unique opportunity to those students that wants to be immersed in the British and American education.

The Ardmore School Integration Programme is available for both individual students and groups from September to July depending on the age and school year.

Homestay accommodation can be provided in various locations in the UK and USA. International students will “buddy up” with local children and teenagers and follow exactly the same curriculum the whole school day, for a period of 1 to 7 weeks.

For groups we are happy to offer residential accommodation at Berkshire College (see pages 4-5) in multi-bedded rooms with shared bathrooms for students and single/twin rooms with shared bathroom facilities for group leaders.
