Mejoramiento de Barrios ( UIA )
For the last 10 years, I have dedicated my efforts in the architectural planning and the design of medical units. I have also collaborated with private institutions, but fundamentally, in the “living and housing” area for the government of Mexico. This is one of the most prestigious programs in the country; it’s called “Programa de Mejoramiento de Vivienda del Distrito Federal” (a special program by the local government to improve residential houses) which is offered by INVI (Instituto Nacional de Vivienda) awarded in 2002 with the National Housing Prize.
Objectives
I would like to detail, that in every one of the actions that I made, I had in mind that as a primary matter of social sense, most of all, in countries, such as Mexico, where, the founds to be used, have to be optimized to the maximum effort, always in the evaluation of the benefit-cost of all the activities to be done, I took in mind the real actor of this efforts: the user of the medical units and its relation with the environment, and in the case of the housing program, we have to provide a living space in minimum areas, to people that have a very low income.
